    OKC renovation - forty-year facelift

It's gorgeous. And totally worth the wait. It actually reminds me of pregnancy. Some days are good, some days are bad. It takes entirely too long. But you soon forget the achy back, nausea, and continuous Braxton Hicks once baby is here. Congrats!!

    What's your current pool temp?

Do you have a thread on this process? Very clever. Our pool was 65 on Saturday morning, but climbed to 72 by yesterday afternoon. We had two amazing days of sunshine in the upper 80s so I hope that with continued sunny days, we'll be close to 78 by the weekend.

    Hello from Curacao

I know this is an old thread. Did you decide on anything? We buried an AGP and it's something you could sub out pretty easily. We bought a Radiant, which can be purchased online. I started a build thread recently & it's in my thread. And I'm so jealous you live there. How amazing!

Burying a Radiant! How we dropped an AGP in our yard

Kindred spirits! I have always wanted a pool. Always! So I was going to make it happen! I'm not entirely sure what sort of lining they put down. It's not in the paperwork. Free? Ha! I will ask my DH and see if he knows. Have you decided what sort of pool you are going to bury?

Burying a Radiant! How we dropped an AGP in our yard

So once the pool was installed, we realized how much deck we really wanted and it was far more than a few hundred sf. We also debated the type - I wanted stone, but DH thought concrete with a spray deck application was more sensible. So we decided to wait a summer, use the pool, map out the...

Burying a Radiant! How we dropped an AGP in our yard

Pad created and the equipment arrives. Pentair IntelliFlo VS 1.5hp - $549 300 lb Hayward sand filter - $649 We had thought because we were using an AGP that we could use equipment for an AGP. PB said no, that we had an IGP and we needed equipment strong enough to move water up and down...

Burying a Radiant! How we dropped an AGP in our yard

They dug about 4 feet down and ran into a lot of water. So began the sump-pumping. They did that about a week and decided they were fighting mother nature and that was a much bigger fight than they could win. PB decided to stop the dig there and lay down a bunch of gravel. I suppose this was so...

Burying a Radiant! How we dropped an AGP in our yard

So, they started the dig while I was at work and I came home to a large hole. As you can see in the last two pictures, they had to put in a sump pump. Apparently our water table was way too high and needed to be drained. So for about a week, we heard the slip/slurp of a pump. The pool...

I've uploaded all my pics to photobucket but when I paste them here, the portrait ones flip landscape. What the heck? Yea Mia, time is not flying over your way. Or running. Or even mall-walking. Boooooo. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Burying a Radiant! How we dropped an AGP in our yard

Yes, that's right. We are persistent people, aren't we? That's actually one of my best qualities. Well, persistent and obsessive. At least I'm that way about a pool or a organizing project and not an ex-boyfriend.

Anyone own Radiant Metric Pool or have thoughts?

Awesome! The price was pretty dang good, but we spent another $3k on install. But considering what he had to do, it was totally worth it! Overall I think it's easy to put together so you should have little trouble. Good luck! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Burying a Radiant! How we dropped an AGP in our yard

Greetings! We installed our pool last year but I never got around to posting a build thread. But I wanted to do one because a lot of people want information on how to bury an AGP. First step was to buy a well-built AGP pool and bury it ourselves. It was going to be up to DH and his many...

Intelliflo VS -- not very quiet -- makes "tone" at higher speeds.

I think that's the one I have. We actually find it to be a lot quieter than expected. I guess that's because our PB said we shouldn't put it by our back deck because it can be so noisy it interrupts conversation, so we expected something super loud. Instead we put it behind the pool about 10'...
