    Using IFCS as return

Thank you very much for this.

    Using IFCS as return

Thanks for this insight. I will do this. It's free form, currently 28k gallons. I never see here, a 2D rendering of pools and the systems overlaid on them. That would be great if there was a way to do this. As it stands now, the builder has something in mind, the buyer has something in mind...

    Using IFCS as return

Just realized the builder had me thinking the IFCS would 'rapidly' heat the pool since it was multiple returns, however, that is not the case since there are zones. Only part of the pool would be heated at one time, no different than a regular return. I require an IFCS as I grew up cleaning a...

    Using IFCS as return

Greetings everyone, A builder has advised me to use the IFCS as the return; however, family members have advised me against doing so and to have the IFCS plumbed independently on a separate pump so that it can be isolated from the pool operation in the event that something goes wrong. The pool...

New Pool Build - Cypress, TX

We had a conversation with CCP, and overall, they were quite good. However, there’s one catch: they won’t provide any warranty if we opt for a saltwater (SW) pool. So, we decided to move on to the next pool builder. We were informed that they used to have two display pools: one salt and one...

New Pool Build - Cypress, TX

Thanks for the reply. The spa is 12" raised. You're correct about seeing the pool. The yard is oddly shaped so we are going to put a bar height counter under the extended roof so folks can sit there and look at the pool. Walking out of the back door, all we see is a fence 20' straight away...

    Lounge chair with bubble

Hi Everyone, I posted in another section but now realize this is where I need to post for this question. Found some new pictures with better view of the spa bubbles. Has anyone seen or does anyone know what kind of bubblers these are in the pictures? They are the white/silver stripes inlaid...

    Builder Substitutions Question

Howdy everyone! I'm working with a builder and trying to finalize the contract, about 80% done. There is a line in contact that is giving me serious pause. Contractor reserves the right to SUBSTITUTE parts or items, as deemed necessary, by Contractor. Emphasis theirs. When asking about this...

    Hard dig complication Arizona

As JoyfulNoise mentioned. You should call a meeting with all parties. Preferably at the site. You're looking for peace of mind and this is the best way to get it. Also, you'll have an opportunity to reset the relationship with the builder. It's understandable you're nervous and this could...

    Skimmer Placement

For our yard, it's an E-W or W-E wind depending on the weather system coming out of the gulf. Half the time it whips through the yard like a wind tunnel due to the way the houses are backed up to each other. The houses funnel the wind it seems, so I'm for sure going to get the neighbors tree...

    Pool/SPA build questions.

I can't speak to the labor/craftmanship for the spa but I hear ya AZ, I'm construction adjacent but no background and dealing with PBs is more akin to dealing with holistic healers than straight forward bidders. I got the same thing from local, regional and a national PB. What I would expect...

    Skimmer Placement

Neighbor on the side has some 15 year old pin oaks, back fence neighbors do not have any trees. I've forbidden the Mrs. from having anything that drops a leaf in the yard, so no issues there 8)

    Skimmer Placement

Thanks for the feedback. I have to get with the PB to discuss the returns, looks like I'm getting ahead of myself on a single item placement when it's more of a whole system that needs to be designed out at once.

    IFCS - AA vs Pentair

    Thanks Allan!
  27. Ajax_fuel_linker

    Skimmer Placement

This is a very rough 2D sketch. Reading on this forum it is recommended to have two skimmers with one opposite the prevailing wind and one opposite that (as I read it, let me know if I'm misreading it). In our yard, the wind is always East to West or West to East. The deep end of the pool...

    IFCS - AA vs Pentair

Howdy, Have a quote for an AA IFCS and when asking the PB about it vs others they state Pentair bought AA and they can quote Pentair if desired. The questions are; Is there a difference between the two systems if they are the same owner? One a better quality or is it all all just name...

    Under Construction - Tomball, TX

Good looking pool. I too am getting serious pushback when even asking about SWG in Cypress, TX. One builder said it was a deal breaker and walked away. That trampoline is killing me. All I can think of is bouncing off of that and into the pool. :laughblue:
