    Chlorine tabs or not?!

    So I used them last year when I switched over because we had always used them but now the price is very high so I just wanted to see if they were still necessary with my new routine. If I don’t use them, would I need to adjust my normal routine?

    Ok so my pool is clearing up and is almost clear but I now have several small foam spots on the surface. I am still waiting in my test kit. Should I do anything other than adding the liquid chlorine each day?

    Stupid question, how did I tell it to figure 3-5 ppm? I’m novice with this and have a lot to learn.

    Is there a certain type of chlorine to use since we normally get ours at the pool store?

    Ok so it’s still cloudy this morning and I have the kit on order. Should I just wait until the kit arrives and I test the water before I do anything else?

    Ok, I don’t know if you saw it or not but we’ve added about 10 gallons of shock in less than a week. We just did 4 more tonight before I talked to my brother.

    She told us to turn the automatic tabs setting to 5. We did not fill within the last month.

    My brother sent me a link to order the one he has. This is all new as I just mentioned the problems we were having. That’s when he told me about this site and doing my own chemicals and testing

    we use chlorine tabs and liquid shock. Our pool is extremely cloudy. We cannot see the bottom of the deep end.

    Thank you Jim!! Can I use my Dolphin cleaner for the brushing part or could all the shock we’ve added mess it up?

    We have added 10 gallons of shock in the last week. My brother is telling me to use this site and balance my own water and stop going to the pool store. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
