    Leak repair - DC area?

It probably would not be noticeable as the water will run down the backside of the spa shell. Use a paper towel or rag and wipe it on the bottom of the light lens from inside the equipment area.

    Leak repair - DC area?

One problem area to check on the older models is the light lens. In the equipment area, remove the black LED light housing which is located behind the IQ2020 control box. If it is a slow leak and it seems to come from underneath, a leak coming from the lens will follow the contour of the shell...

    Leak repair - DC area?

When did you purchase the spa? There are a couple of places to look, but a model year or serial number would be helpful first. Thanks

Anyone have any ideas of how to get Wasps out of my control panel?

I use this in the field when I encounter a nest. It works very well. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001CTS1I6?cache=68937da12748017ce3e50f8c42409bb1&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1412213571&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

    FLO Error

That would be the jet pump for the therapy jets. It works independently of the circulation system.

    FLO Error

That is the circulation pump which pumps water through the heater and will close the flow switch if working properly. Sounds like your pump had pumped its last days.

Possible to remove a blower from system?

Most manufacturers install a check valve after the blower. There is no need to remove it unless you really want to.

Check to see if the ozonator is still plugged into the circuit board. It should be disconnect unless you have a high bather load.

    No Bubbles

Check for kinks/blockage of the ozone tubing. The check valve can also fail completely sealing itself shut. The ozone injector can clog as well.

Hot Spring Vanguard - Ceramic Tri-X Falling Apart???

I would stick with the standard filters. Although, the Tri-X are supposed to filter better. Kind of like a sand filter, when they get dirty they filter better.

    Duoclear 60 flow issue

The sensor is in the cell. 7 years is VERY good for a Duoclear cell. Keep in mind, that particular system is no longer made and parts may be scarce. I called Zodiac tech support a few months ago to troubleshoot a 35k system and the tech put me on hold so he could locate a service manual! Good...

    Hot Tub sanitizing equipment

The ACE system has a one year accessory warranty, which covers the cell. Once that warranty is up, a replacement cell is very expensive. The majority of customers out of warranty with a bad cell opt to remove the system altogether once finding out the cost of a new cell. Unfortunate, but it is...

Taking Care of your Spa Cover

Armor all will eventually dry it out and it will start cracking. Just wash it regularly with saddle soap to keep it supple. Manufacturers suggest to use no protectant as the vinyl used will stand up to the elements just fine without them.

Rubber strip/sealant between liner and concrete deck

That is liner lock. It keeps the liner from pulling out of the track. You may find it online, its easy to install. Its normally put on the corners where the liner stretches the most, or all the way around if your track is not in the best shape after many liner changes.

Compressed air can be very dangerous!

I had a customer who forgot to bleed the air out of the cartridge filter after opening. He said the top blew off, sounded like an explosion and saw it go about 50 yards in the air. Landed gauge side down square on a landscaping rock. Compressed air can be very dangerous!

Gas supply to heater too rich

Did the gas man use flex line going into the heater? I've seen it before, the line installer hard pipes it from the meter/regulator and stops about 2' short of the heater and reduces the line down with the yellow flex line bottlenecking the supply. It should always be hard piped with a union...

    Troubleshoot a MasterTemp

Sounds like a thermal regulator issue. Its a car thermostat looking device located directly on the bulkhead of the in/out pipes under a screwed in cap. Run a search for it and see of that's the problem.

Can a Cartridge Filter Vacuum to Waste?

Or you can install a 3 way valve after the pump and before the filter. When you want to vacuum to waste turn the valve so it diverts the water away from the filter. I would draw something, but I'm no artist. :)

Hotsprings Integrated Pressure Switch on Heater

The pressure switch is not serviceable/replaceable. You will need to replace the heater. And the jumper is used on PDR(power down reset) heaters that have been installed after the oem heater has failed. One thing to try is pouring some muriatic acid down the circulation pump stand pipe, the...
