These rust-colored stains have started appearing in our pool recently, usually around the spa drain. They do brush off easily enough, but curious as to what the experts here think is the cause. Thanks!

New plaster, Pebblesheen, filled end of July. Have been adding muriatic acid 2x/week to get PH down (PB says that will continue as plaster cures), which gets the PH down to 7.6 or so, but then it always climbs through the week. TA is also persistently high, and CH is consistently low. Do you...
