    Cover to eliminate existing main drain?

    First, always running pool vac. Have an 18 year old vinyl 14x28 inground and am replacing liner. Thinking now would be the time to permanently block off the Hayward 8" main drains since they are not even used. Plugs inside is easy enough, but I would like to place a "flat cover" on drains...

    Hayward Pool Drain Covers

    Which cover did you go with and has it made any difference? Seems the newer cover has dozens of holes vs the older cover with wide rectangular slots along top of the outer edge (two main drains due to code at the time).. Cleaner getting hung up with inground main drain here as well, using 18...
