Got my above ground pool winterized and covered about a month ago. I have always put a plug in the return jet and put a skimmer door/cover on so I can fill the pool to the top. I have found this makes putting the cover on easier and eliminates the sag in the cover. Have done this for years...

He was just trying to maintain it not SLAM. But is what you are saying is that it is most likely dead algae and that he should perform a SLAM? If so, when you SLAM and you vacuum daily, do you have to vacuum to waste?
