The tiny black spots circled in red. I’m probably being paranoid but I’ve heard such terrible things about black algae and it seems like there are more and more of them as time goes by. I don’t remember seeing all these black dots right after the quartz plaster was finished.

I’m in Houston too and run my cooler overnight and got my pool temp down to 80 degrees the night before last (the same night you are referring to.) I was so excited about the temp drop.

My cooler has overflowed twice now. Flooding our yard and draining our pool. Each time this has happened I find the pump float up but the pump switch is not engaged so the pump wasn’t running.

Prior to making these adjustments I would run the cooler all night and the temperature barely dropped 1 degree

Jeff thanks for the info. The part about setting the skimmer/floor return to 45 degrees is a good one…. Had not thought of that. Makes sense to try and pull more water from cooler to mix with the other water returning from skimmer/floor.

My wands look like they have streams of water coming out - not spray. Of course I’m seeing this with the fan off. Does turning the fan on cause the water to become a spray/mist?
