Hello! I’ve recently noticed a white gritty film appearing on any plastic components in my pool (i.e. pool vacuum, weir door, etc). I’m assuming it’s calcium build up, but my calcium hardness levels have been consistent around 250. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

So things went from bad to worse 🙃. I took the filter apart again, cleaned the grids, reassembled, lubed o-rings, recharged, added DE and pressure remained the same at around 30 psi with pump running at 3450. Except this time in addition I noticed some DE coming back in through the return jets...

Dang. All of the return jets seem to be okay. Maybe too much DE?

Turns out the gauge went bad. I installed the new one but was surprised the find the pressure went up to 29psi. Isn't that high for a clean filter? RPM of the pump is 3450.
