Whats the best fitting to use for this spa air control pipe?

Ah ok, im new to this so i wasnt sure how it worked or what the best practice is. Basically if i shut them off completely the two return jets i have are way too powerful to get any skimmer action going so i was leaving them open so that i had less power going to the return jets so that i can get...

I just wanted to post this update for anyone in the future doing research trying to figure out a similar issue. I ended up completely replumbing the suction side of the pool pipes and now have minimal air coming into the pump, what an amazing feeling that was given it was my first time doing it...

Hi All, The pool i have has a bench with two built in spa jets, to control the air for the jets theres just a pipe sticking out the ground right behind them with a slit that someone had cut out to draw in air. I taped it up for now until i get a permanent fix. The question i have is whats the...

Can't find air leak on new pump install - need help

I took that at 1500rpm but if left for an hour the air bubble would get to about the size of the lid. At full speed the bubble decreases in size but doesnt disappear and i can still see small bubbles coming from somewhere but the water is too fast to see from where though.

Can't find air leak on new pump install - need help

That was at 1500rpm and at that speed the bubble gets bigger and bigger, to the point where if i left it, it would end up having no water in the pump. When i run it at 3450 rpm the bubble shrinks and stays small but doesnt disappear, im guessing because most of the air is getting sucked through...

Can't find air leak on new pump install - need help

Hi All, I installed a new black and decker vsp a few days ago and everything has been working except it seems as though I have a suction side air leak. It's worth noting that before switching out the old pump (single speed Pentair) everything was fine and I had no air leaks at all. I've been...

Questions about NPC pool plaster start up instructions

Hi All, I have a quick follow up question. I spoke to the pool company who did my plaster and i said to them i lowered my ph to 7.6 and he said that i should go lower than that to 7.2 to get the surface exposed more quickly. I have no idea what any of that means and im not an expert. Am i ok to...

Questions about NPC pool plaster start up instructions

Thanks for the advice. Whats the reasoning behind not aggressively lowering ph? Also is going from 8.2 to 7.4 considered agressive? Instead should i go down .2 or .3 at a time like suggested above?

Questions about NPC pool plaster start up instructions

Questions about NPC pool plaster start up instructions

No problem, i have a water softner and just tested twice with it on and twice bypassed and the test results were exactly the same except the ph with the water softner on was 8.06. Here are my results with the softner off: Ph = 7.9 Ta = 120 Ch = 0 Cya = 0 Is it normal to have no ch in my water?

Questions about NPC pool plaster start up instructions

Thanks for such a detailed response, i really appreciate it. Yeah so doing my research over the last few weeks i learnt that LSI is something that you should pay attention to when maintaining the pool not on start up, is that right?

Want to clarify what im being told is correct for pool resurfacing

I actually managed to find another company in the area that does the same resurfacing so I've got them coming round Monday for a quote. Wait time for them is November compared to next February. Knowing that plaster lasts longer than 7 years changes things though so I'll just have to weigh up the...

Want to clarify what im being told is correct for pool resurfacing

Ok thanks this is really good info, I've gotten a few quotes already and all are around the 10k mark for plaster because apparently it costs 4k to water blast the fiber glass off. I didn't realize plaster lasts longer than 7 years and the wait time is only 6 weeks as well.

Want to clarify what im being told is correct for pool resurfacing

Yeah to be fair to them it's the original company that applied it back in 1992. It's warranty was only 15 years though and they've repaired it a few times over the years. If plaster lasts 15 years then that changes things as well. Do you know what the pros and cons are to each? So the company...
