    Thanks. So if we have a mechanical cover on it for 75% of the day, unless there are lots of bodies where are we using up the chlorine? Sounds like the answer is adding more cyanuric acid? Won’t that tie up free chlorine and delay it’s disinfection power… increasing the required contact time...

    My CYAs are also low… will that contribute to my problem? Do you know of any good “solid state” meters that measure free chlorine? … I’m hoping not to have to buy reagents constantly. Thanks for the help.

    Thanks mknauss, I haven’t yet. The generator has changed Volts and Amps some, but still doesn’t seem to make a dent in my chlorine readings. I have a meter that reads ORP to estimate Free Chlorine and it is half what it’s supposed to be… this is why I’m so worried about my generator. Thoughts?

    Y’all, My AquaRite 900 says it’s generating, pump is running, salt is 3000, pH is 7.8, water temp is 90*F (in Texas), cell water temp reads 94*F, just acid cleaned the scale off the unit and have been running it with no warnings. Diagnostics say 32V and 0Amps… that’s what it’s supposed to say...
