Sorry, yup typo CYA - 25 Pressure had been running 9-10 and with DE is 10-11. Filter seems to be running fine, great suction when vacuuming and great return. We have not had to backwash outside of when vacuuming, but we are doing that almost every day and do backwash then.

Have added the DE to the filter. Hubby has been vacuuming for the better part of the afternoon. At what point should we add the chlorine tabs in the floater?

Have been advised to add some DE to my sand filter. Our local store has HTH DE Filter Aid in 10 lb and DE of another brand in 25 lb box. I would rather have the smaller container, but can't find out whether the Filter Aid is the same as regular DE, or if it is ok to use for this application.

I have seen people post that they have added DE, but no specifics. How much and I am assuming you add thru the skimmer? Do you just do that one time or every so often? Is that CYA level ok? Should we go ahead and put the tabs/floater in or at what point should we do that? Just getting more...
