I have a intex 12'x24' rectangle pool. My question is where would the best place be to install the thru wall skimmer? Close to the old return?

HI everyone, I'm putting the pool up for the first time and im noticing the long sides of the pool are bowwing in quite a bit. Is this normal? And will it straighten out on it's own. It 's almost 3/4 full but it doesn't seem to be moving at all. I can try to add pictures if needed. thanks in...
