Still no luck on the sync. It's weird because I assume these LED have no moving motor/parts. Unsure what to do at this point...

Aqua Pure 1400 SWG - No Flow

Thanks for the info. I will check the connections on the board today. I think that's the only thing I haven't done yet. Is there anyway to test/confirm the sensor is bad? Seems 1-1.5 years is not that old. I hate jus throwing parts/money at a problem without really confirming the parts are...

Aqua Pure 1400 SWG - No Flow

Hi everyone. Last season I installed a new Aqua pure SWG 1400 in my pool (full setup in signature below). Recently I have been having an intermittent problem that continues to become more frequent/permanent. This system has been working great for about 1-1.5 years with truly no issues until...

    Jandy LED watercolors not synching

I installed an identical pair of jandy LED pool lights that run off the same circuit/switch. I just set it to a color sequence and the colors are off sync by about 1/2 a second or more. Any idea on how to get these lights to reset or re-sync? Thanks

Opening pool - First Spring Reults

Perfect - thanks. Looks like I may just need to increase CYA a bit. Ill search around for the best procedure to do that. Here is a pic from today ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365967497.788315.jpg[/attachment:dfjjgbj5]

Opening pool - First Spring Reults

Hey guys/gals. Just getting the pool opened up and here are some results - any thoughts? Things look good? My only questions are: the CYA a little low? my Cal a little high? what FC level do you recommend? (tested with TF-100) FC 3 CC 0 pH 7.5 TA 75 Cal 330 CYA 30-35 Temp 71...

Heating with a variable speed pump

This is great info. Question - how is best to determine GPM on a variable speed pump? Do manufactures post charts? Measurement tools? other? I have a Jandy 1.5 ePump

Heating with a variable speed pump

I wonder if the heater manufactures advertise the most efficient flow rate for best heat production. Although with older units they may not since VSP were not out yet.

Heating with a variable speed pump

Thanks guys. Currently it's at 2250 when the heater is on (I think this is by default for heater mode) That being said from testing I can run it slower and the heater is happy with the flow rate. This is why my question came up so I figure I would see where others run their RPM. I agree with...

Heating with a variable speed pump

I hope this is in the right forum area but I have a question on heating a pool with a variable speed pump. Assuming there is enough flow for the heater on a low speed - lets say 1500RPM Is there benefit to heating a pool on a lower speed? Some pro's I can think of are: 1) lower electricity...

    VS Pump Run Scedule

Hey guys. I have had a new VS pump that I installed last season. With the weather warming up I wanted to get input in how often and what speeds you all run your pump. Currently I run it everyday for 4 hours on the lowest speed setting. I then run it 3 times a week at 2300 RPM for 2 hours for...

Polaris 280 Universal Wall Adapter (UWA) Stuck

Funny after posting I went this route. I put in a pair of pliers as it was wide enough. I then used the channel locks on the pliers to twist it and it finally broke free. See pics. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1363035114.379915.jpg[/attachment:2r7632ri]...

Polaris 280 Universal Wall Adapter (UWA) Stuck

So my wall adapters pegs broke so I need to replace it. I figure this would be an easy fix, but apparently not. Seems the previous owner used some kind of silicon on the UWA threads when installing. The unit is stuck and after trying with channel locks it broke so only the threaded part is...

Jandy ePump JEP1.5 making little noise when it turns off.

Re: Jandy ePump JEP1.5 making little noise when it turns off Just an update. Jandy gave me a free 3 year warranty on the pump so I am happy with that. Now that its been a month or so the squeal has gone away slightly. Maybe just a break in thing?

Re: Jandy ePump JEP1.5 making little noise when it turns off Interesting indeed. It seems there is more to the story then they reveal. My pump installer said they told him its a carbon shaft seal making the noise. Now I personally just got an email from jandy (as I was cc'd on the response...
