    Calcium Hardness increasing

South Carolina. No autofill. I did find what appeared to be a chipped piece of plaster the last time I was vacuuming but I don't see or feel any changes in the plaster.

    Calcium Hardness increasing

Our gunite pool was finished last May and my CH started at 310 but slowly dropped due to a leak and constant refills. We finally got leaks fixed and CH has increased from 300 last October to 500 today. I know it can increase over time as our tap water is 200 CH but I haven't had to add much...

    Total Alkalinity Question

i guess that makes sense - although it is interesting that the taylor manual specifies its TA range as being from calcium carbonate. thanks for the info.

    Total Alkalinity Question

Searched for this but couldn't find a clear answer - when TFP recommends a TA of 50-60 ppm, is that only TA from calcium carbonate? My TA from CaCO3 is about 36 when I subtract out CYA and borates, which is low but even at this level, I still struggle with pH rise from SWG and spillover spa...

    Corrosive water damage to plaster

Hi all, new gunite pool here that was plastered back in May of this year. PB said to only brush once a week so that's what we did - even though everyone else said twice a day. We had plaster dust for about a month thsn it settled. Recently, the plaster dust has come back when I'm brushing. I...
