Hayward AquaNat keeps getting stuck on drain.

Our Hayward pool cleaner keeps getting hung up on either of the drains at the bottom. I thought it was because the leader hose that connects to it was cracked, but the same problem is still happening when I replaced the leader hose. It never got stuck in the first year we had it. Any advice?

    Salt ppm

We just had our SWG start up last week for my 10,000 gallon pool. The pool builder company came and added salt. I just did my first salt test (Taylor TF-100 salt kit) and it’s showing 4400ppm. Too high I know, but is it dangerously high? Will this go down over time? Here are my readings: Ph 7.6...

    Salt Start Up

The pool servicer came yesterday to do the startup for salt. How long does it take for it to start producing chlorine? I tested today (24 hours later) and had 0 FC. Do I need to supplement with liquid chlorine right now until the SWG catches up and is producing enough?

Going on vacation for 6 days

We are new to pools as ours was finished about a month ago. We are leaving for 6 days so I am wondering what to do. Note that our SWG is not turned on yet so it’s a regular chlorine pool for now. I know I should SLAM before I leave but what else? PH is at 7.8 but rises quick since pool is new...

    High pH

Yeah I guessed about 8.3 given the color. Good advice on the 0.3 increments! I also read that pH climbs like crazy in a new pebble pool, and mine is only 2 weeks old, so definitely a contributing factor.

    High pH

Yesterday, I tested my pH and it was 8.3, so I added the amount of 31.45% Muriatic acid the pool math app said to add. I just tested today and it is 8.2 which is still high, so I added more Muriatic acid. Is it possible I just got old Muriatic that isn’t as effective as it should be? Something...

    First Tests

How do I go about raising the CYA? Poolmath says dry stabilizer or liquid stabilizer. Is it called something else at a pool store? Not finding it.

    First Tests

Thanks. Pool math gives several drop down options in the FC calculator (bleach, trichlor , etc). What is just regular plain liquid chlorine? How much would I need?

    First Tests

Hello! I did my first tests today (TF Pro) and things don’t look too great. The pool got finished last week and the guy was here to do start up chems. SWG is not on yet but will be in a few weeks. Here is what I got: Chlorine-0. The solution was still clear and not yellow at all Ph-8.2 or...

    Beginner in test kits

Thanks for the info. We are getting a salt pool so I would get the TF Pro Salt. I am slightly confused though. The description says it comes with reagents to perform a salt test, but then also gives you an option to buy salt strips. Do I need salt strips if I’m buying the TF Pro salt?

    Beginner in test kits

Hi Everyone! Our pool is almost done which means I’m starting to research how to take care of it…this site has been great! The consensus I’m seeing is: stay away from strips and get the TF-100. Am I correct in my assumption? If I go the TF-100 route, how much are you spending in a year for...

Yeah I saw that post this morning but only one person had posted about Picasso Blue. So I wanted to see if more people had it.

New Pool - Picasso Blue Signature Matrix (Wet Edge)

Hi Everyone! We just signed a contract for our new pool and are so excited! We are leaning towards selecting Picasso Blue which is part of the Signature Matrix product from Wet Edge. I tried looking online and could not find many pictures of pools with this color. The couple of pictures we did...
