    I did get try compressed air to blow anything out of the threads, but not tried a tap yet. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Thanks. Patience is running thin :-). Breezed through all steps and spent hours yesterday on this one lateral and again today. Myself, husband and son have all tried - using different laterals old and new. The assembly does not come out on this model (without replumbing), so no way to hammer in...

    Lateral won’t screw in

    Replacing sand in Pentair Triton II 60. Unscrewed laterals to check condition, have put back all but one lateral which will not screw in. Bought new laterals - they all will not screw in to this one spot. Any suggestions? Can we close that opening somehow and just leave this one out?
