I had this same thought if it was the laterals not pushed in all the way and may have pushed it down while cleaning. I hope I fixed the problem by pushing them all down, at least my filter got a good cleaning and a new setting of sand :? I'll update if anything changes and thanks for the help!

On another note I noticed that there is sand in the sight glass on the top of the multiport....

I think I'm going to double check the multiport one more time since I have everything else taken apart right now. Any other thoughts? Thanks

Well I have all the sand out and inspected the spine, laterals, and checked for any cracks on the surfaces and can't find anything wrong with them. I'm not sure what to take apart next?!

Thank you for the reply's. I will take apart the filter and do as suggested. Hopefully I will be able to identify the issue. Should I put any chemicals in the pool before taking apart the filter? I ask because I'm assuming it will not be running for days when I find out what parts need to be...

Ah I forgot to mention I replaced the multi-port valve last year as well. There was sand coming through the jet before and after I replaced it. I can't imagine that the port went bad in less than a year?

I would've never thought this was caused from tiny bubbles. Wow so much to learn from you here. I will look for a leak today and keep you all updated. I think I read somewhere shaving cream is good to find a leak - would you recommend this? Thanks for the help!

Ok edit from my last response - I removed some debris from the basket (would've been good to do the first time) and yes I am noticing some very tiny air bubbles inside.

You can see that the water is very faint when it is coming out of the booster pump but after a period of time it's long enough to cloud the water and develop a white substance on the surface. Bama - Im still learning pool terms but I beleive the main pump basket is hooked up to the pool motor...

Ok so a quick update and thanks for your responses thus far. This morning when I went out and turn the filter on I took a closer look at the other jets and noticed that there is cloudy water coming from all the jets without the booster pump on but it is hard to notice unless you take a closer...

Also, the cloudy water will run from the booster pump for a very long time (30min+) before it will turn clear.

Sorry for the confusion, not sure why they gave me chlorine results as bromine but my pool is a chlorine pool. I keep four chlorine tabs in the chlorinator. The cloudy water only comes out of the booster pump when I turn it on. If its off the water looks great. When the booster does come on it...
