Does a natural gas heater need a regulator installed?

Hi everyone. I noticed my newly installed natural gas heater, pentair e40i 400k BTU, does not have a regulator installed in line. Is that a problem for safety reasons? Thanks

Many rocks under new vinyl liner - acceptable?

I'm not sure about the vermiculite, the only picture I have looks like nothing was added on the bottom, just foam on the sides and steps. No, I haven't reached out yet. Wanted to get some opinions first, but looks like like conversation I should have. Just wanted to get more educated first.

Many rocks under new vinyl liner - acceptable?

Hi all. Just got my pool completed last September and this is my first season using it. I've noticed that the are many small rocks under my vinyl liner. None seem that big, smaller than 1/2 inch, but I've gotten a few small cuts on feet. Would this go away over time or does it need to get...

Got it, thank you! Seems like it is difficult to always keep ph in the recommend ranges, especially if you are using water features and have an auto cover. Any tips to keep it in check? At 8 ph, I would assume just leave it alone and let it drop down. At what point would you suggest adding m...

First time testing and opening a new build from last summer

Hi there! Just retested this morning and PH shot up to 8 and TA down to 80. Only thing I did was run the bubblers for an hour or so, could they aeration be the cause of the PH jump?

Any issues with the dry acid in there if the SWG gets hooked up this week? About 7-10 days will be since I added the dry acid

Thank you! I have an auto cover that the pool is covered unless we are using the pool. Maybe uncovered for a few hours only the past few days - does that count as a long period?

Thanks for your help! On drop 7 the green turns to a really dark green, almost light black, and the 8 drop it is almost fully pink, 9 is fully pink. Did 3-4 extra drops and the pink did not change

I'll do that now. I stop counting when the green turns a deep pink, does it need to turn a deep red?

From the last few days, yes, except adding .25 gallon of liquid chlorine. Only other thing is last week my ph was low, I added in the exact amount of borax pool math told me and the PH was way too high, darker than 8.2. I then added dry acid to lower it back down.

Hi everyone. Can someone please let me know why my PH keeps dropping? It's all over the place and my TA has pretty much been consistent at 80-100. I just put in borax yesterday, got my PH up to 8.0 and today it's at 6.8. SWG still not on, salt is around 4000ppm, using liquid chlorine. Any...

Brand New dolphin active 40 doesn't get all dirt off the floor?

Hi all. I know no vacuum is perfect, but is it normal for the active 40 to go right over dirt and not pick it up? It is definitely working as I clean the filter and there is dirt in it, but after 15 hours of running, a brand new pool with an auto over I was expecting more I guess. Here is a...
