Well the cartridge filter seems to be working better. Here’s the pool this am. I still can’t quite see the bottom. But using the broom as a gauge I can see down to the last foot or so.

Okay so I switched out to my old cartridge filter. I think it’s making a difference. My question is, the debris I'm washing off is brownish. Previously when I’ve had algae issues it’s been more green. Is this possibly mustard algae? Or just that it’s good and dead? I’m hoping for the latter...

Not at all certain. I keep vacuuming it as often as possible, and brushing it every day, but can't exactly see what I'm doing. I'm not seeing too many leaves anymore. Haven't since last week. But just not sure.

Yeah it’s obvious. Haha. And other than skimmer the pool is completely empty. But I take out the skimmer and clean it regularly. Yesterday I felt like I could just start to make out the bottom of the pool. Not today.

Here’s some pics anyway. At least it might help me keep track. And fwiw I use the black hose found to the skimmer as a rough guide of how clear the pool is. And as of yet, I’ve not been able to see the bend. But I feel like yesterday I was getting close to seeing it. Today not so much.

Thanks. However I already rounded up to 35. When the dot disappeared it was just barely over 30. So I added a little bit more of the mix to make sure it didn’t change. And it didn’t. And at that point it was exactly between 30 and 40. But I definitely don’t mind keeping the FC levels a little...

Thanks. I will do so. I just bought a new hose for my skimmer. I noticed yesterday it had cracks in it. So I'll get that fixed and add some CYA to get it up to 30ppm. And I'll read up on the CH. :)

Okay so things aren’t way out of whack. FC = 12.5 CC = 1.0 TA = 180 (so this needs to come down) CYA = 0-10. I was at the top of the beaker and the dot was fuzzy but I could make it out. I figured this was low. pH = 7.5 CH = 150 it did turn red when I added the r-0011l. But it wasn’t mixing...

Hello and thanks. Yeah I’ve been adding that amount or even a bit more. With the bleach I bought it adds around 4ppm per 1/2 gallon. And I’ve been adding 1 to 1-1/2 gallons a day. And even better news, is the test kit showed up. So I’m headed home for lunch and to see what it shows. :)
