    Time for a new liner!

May sound like a stupid question/thought, but I guess I could feel the side of the pool from the inside to see if it feels weak? Or is the liner going to absolutely have to come out before we get an idea on wall condition?

    Time for a new liner!

Hello all! Been a while since the last time I posted! Our liner is 13 years old and has lived out it's life. It has a few holes above the water line, and needless to say the sun has taken it's toll in regards to fading. So now we are thinking replace the liner? Replace the entire pool with...

    It's official. I am cursed.

We don't have that problem here in SC. It is currently 99 outside (according to the computer). Our water temp is about 87. For everyone where summer is dragging it's heels to get there: I hope it gets there soon for you. Later, Calvin.

Newbie with Intex Pool - help needed...

We had that problem when we had an Intex pool. We put a couple of two inch stainless balls in a plastic container, filled the rest of the way with water, put the lid on, and tied the complete contraption onto the skimmer hose. I also second the opinion that the black tape around the hoses will...

    Phosphates question.

Thanks again for all of the posts. I used the BBB method last summer and it worked great. I plan on using the BBB method for the rest of the time that I have a pool (which will probably be as long as we live in a warm climate). Thanks again for all of the support this site provides. Later...

    Phosphates question.

Hello everyone. I have just done my first test of the year on our pool. The pool has been looking good all winter and I pretty much did nothing from about November until now except keep things clean. My test results were as follows: FC=0 TC=0 CC=0 pH=7.6 TA=80 CYA=30 to 35 Local Leslies test...

    Water temp question.

Thanks guys. It is only supposed to be that cold for one day. After that a couple of more nights in the low 20's and then back to normal. Later, Calvin.

    Water temp question.

Hello all! It is getting ready to get cold here in sunny South Carolina. They are predicting a low of 9 degrees for Saturday morning. I am planning on insulating my pipes and skimmer. We have kept our AGP open all winter so far with the pump running 24/7 on low speed. Our current pool water...

My skimmer basket (Hydrotools Skimmer) is stuck (wont rotate so we can get it out). How can we unstick it without breaking it? Thanks, Calvin.

    Skimmer Splash

Hello. Our pool is level and so is our skid pack area. We dug a french drain to let water run from the equipment area. We then covered the area with drainage rocks. It works well for us. Hope this helps. Later, Calvin.

    Our pool

Yes, we did the deck ourselves. We would like to expand the deck down the other side of the pool either this fall or next spring. We are thinking of just going out 42 inches from the side of the pool. I am even toying with the idea of making an outdoor bar (kind of Tiki like) down that side...

    Our pool

Thanks for all of the compliments. The sidewalk is just 12 inch square red and gray pavers from Lowes. The deck is just a standard eight foot x 12 foot frame with a cantilever system to extend it two feet past the end of the pool on one side and one foot past the end of the pool on the other...
