How would I know if my pump speed is higher? I have Hayward single speed 1hp

Three days ago. The pressure when dirty rose to 25 psi on the gauge

FC - 3 TA - 70 PH - 7.6 CYA -50

We purchased a house 4 years ago with a pool. At that time the sand filter was clean at 10 psi. Now it is reading clean at 18 psi. What could be the reason for change on this? The sand was replaced 2 year ago so that shouldn’t be an issue.

No, unfortunately not. I ordered a new pump this morning. Just not sure what might cause this. Maybe age? We bought the house 4 years ago and this pump was here, so I have no clue how old it is.

This just started happening yesterday. I have ordered a new pump, but was curious what might have caused this? We bought the house 4 years ago and pump was here. So I’m assuming it could just be age? I read about bearings and I never heard a squealing noise.

We have sand filter and manual timer, no other equipment. My husband said we does have an amp clamp and would test this out tomorrow. We have 120 volt

I’m not sure of the speed it’s a Hyward I believe it’s single. It’s Hayward superpump sp1607z1m. Water flow seems to be fine. The PSI is reading 18 which is typical reading

My Hayward pump overheated and shut off today. It got so hot that it burnt the label. Help!

I’m curious to have a better understanding of what your saying, because this definitely sounds possible. How can you tell that a new deck is covering the old one? Also, my husband dug deeper into the rust in a spot where the liner has come unattached, and it appears the liner track is plastic...

Yes, we discovered the pool was actually put in the 80’s, hence the steel. And definitely not the liner lock. The liner is pulling out where we’re looking. We’re almost wondering now if the steel is covering a liner track?

My husband has dug a little deeper into the deteriorated steel and it appears the liner track is plastic. Is that possible?

Thank you so much for your help!! The current liner was put in 8 years ago, so fingers crossed for no damage. Yes, he said he would put some type of rust neutralizer after grinding it down. I will update once all is done :)

Also, the current liner was replaced about 8 years ago. So I’m praying no damage to the walls.

I just had a pool guy out, and he said he can grind down, fill in, replace clips and paint. But now I’m concerned if there is damage to the walls??? I stuck and magnet and it stuck. Good or bad?

I removed one paver and it is concrete under.
