Too much pressure, ripping things apart

I will try to do my best. I am new at all of this and don’t completely understand how much of this works. I will take some better pictures and write out the labels that document the flow and equipment. Thanks for your help and patience here. I do appreciate it.

Too much pressure, ripping things apart

It would only have been heated to a max 104 from the spa recirculating. Is that enough heat. The pvc is so warped that a normal sized coupling won’t fit on it.

Too much pressure, ripping things apart

Thank you very much for helping! I have added a couple of pictures. There is also a paramount in floor cleaner. Let me know if any more pictures would help. The secondary pump seems inline with the 1st as when I turn on the 1st I can see the water going through the secondary problem pump.

I also had an issue in the past where the pressure expanded the pvc pipe.

Too much pressure, ripping things apart

The picture of the diffuser you can see it compressed the fins on the diffuser. It is a brand new diffuser and basket. Filter is a clean & clear plus 520 When I move over to spa mode, the filter pump shows about 22 psi with the jet pump.

Too much pressure, ripping things apart

I have a 2hp whisperflo pump that has been having some problems with excess pressure. The pump is used for a spa. The pipes are all integrated with the vs pump. The pressure is so high that it has bent pump strainer baskets. The original one, and now a new one. The pump has been leaking so I...

    Pump id

I just looked up the caps location. Seems easy enough to test and replace. Would you know how to order the right go kit, if it comes down to that? I can’t thank you enough for your help!

Thank you. Do you think I should get a go kit since I am going to be taking this apart?

The back spins freely. I have noticed some oil leaking, and some oil in the water.

    Pump id

I am trying to identify this pump. The motor is a centurion, the pump’s label is long gone. The cover has a serial of 357199. The pump is used for the spa jets. Can anyone identify this, or let me know what I need to do to identify it? I’m looking to buy a seal (go kit) for this. I plan on...

Solar cover - over pool or on top of water

Thanks for the advice. Since you have a similar shaped pool, How do you take the cover off and put it on?

Solar cover - over pool or on top of water

I have a kidney shaped pool with a spa. The spa is elevated and creates a waterfall with the pump. I was looking at solar covers and wanted to get thoughts on this. Should I get a large rectangle and cut to size to go on top of the water or get an oversized solar cover that would go over both...

Pool heater only turns on when jet pump is activated

Thanks for the reply. I do have automation in the form of an older jandy unit. How would I look at understanding the wiring and switching. I obviously don’t want to damage anything but this is all new to me and I’m trying to learn all of this equipment. I also really want to have the pool...

Pool heater only turns on when jet pump is activated

I have a pool/spa setup with a vs pump and a high speed jet jump. I can get the spa heat to work, but only with the jet pump activated. When I use the pool heat it will again only turn on when the jet pump is active, even if the vs pump is on. When I say it won’t heat, the heater (Jandy...

Spa losing water - almost fixed

Ok, so I think I figured this out. I was hearing some hissing from another valve. I opened it up, applied some magic lube and closed it up. What I think happened is while I was fixing the first valve I must have hit the first one or put some bad pressure into the system which broke the seal.

Spa losing water - almost fixed

Does this look right? Also the position seems identical to the old actuator.

Spa losing water - almost fixed

I noticed the other day the spa in the spa pool unit was half empty. I looked around and noticed the actuator was broken. Looks like water got into the actuator. The valve was leaking so I replaced the gaskets in the three way valve as well. All of that being said the spa is still leaking. I...

Filtering out calcium? Tell me why I am dumb…

I have previously drained and refilled my pool to get my CYA levels which were off the charts(300+), under control. My area has hard water, and after refilling the pool my CH was very high (625). I was wondering if I could take my sump pump and connect it to something like this and run it for a...
