TX Pool Repair Post Freeze - what a MESS

Parts are a challenge. My highest gripe is not so much that pool suppliers are "out of stock" it is that they are "out of stock" for the price they sold it to you at. Bought a valve three weeks ago from Inyo Pools, usually reliable. Mine has still not shipped. A friend bought the exact same valve...

    Jandy NeverLube Valves

The diameter of the pin on the replacement 4720 is about 1/64 inch bigger than the socket. Obviously the easiest thing, if there were an abundance of valves available that weren’t stupidly expensive, would be to replace the whole valve but such a waste if I don’t need to!

    Jandy NeverLube Valves

I have some Jandy Pool Valves that could be from 1995 or 2002 or 2010. Whatever they are the universal kit for never lube valves, 4720, are the right size but the lower pin is different. Inyo, Jandy, no one knows. I have included pics of the diverter, the inside valve body, and the pin. These...

    Freeze up then bubbles

I did that. Purchased a Jandy NeverLube diverter kit 4720. Diverter hinge pin on old diverter and socket for same in valve body are different than hinge pin on new diverter. They are slightly smaller in diameter with a hole in the pin on the diverter to fit a small pin in the center of the valve...

    Freeze up then bubbles

Had a little freeze up in Texas. Had some pipe damage in the pool house with leaks. Replaced about 2 feet of pipe and fittings after pump but before filter and one valve in front of pump. Had an actuator that switches valve from pool jets to spa jets fail after valve froze. Removed actuator(new...

    Another Spa Spillway Conundrum

The very last 1/2 inch yes. Ran a notch along underside of travertine which fixed all of the cascade except that last 1/2 inch

    Another Spa Spillway Conundrum

The oddity here is that it only impacts one edge and the last 1/2 inch of it. From the inside edge to the last 1/2 inch it’s perfect.

    Another Spa Spillway Conundrum

Travertine spa redo with cascade into pool. Cascade after much tweaking is perfect except for this last inch. Thoughts?

    New Pool - Spillway question

I like the idea but with a round spa it would only work if it was a flexible solid piece. My wife and I like the rounded shape, the spillway replace a brick stair step that was not only dated but was a maintenance pain. I have attached a photo of the base of the spillway. I have to think that at...

    New Pool - Spillway question

Thank you! Slot across surface of spillway I assume? Could the builder cut back the overhang to match the shortest side or 1.25?inches or does the slot presume replacing the current four pavers to ideally 1 but at most 2 with a 2inch minimum overhang?

    New Pool - Spillway question

The sheet is not consistent, hitting the wall most frequently on the shorter side. Spillway stones protrude about 1/4 inch to the inside of the spa. Adding a cap sheet of anything thicker than metal would raise the spillway too high and still would not address the irregular distance from the...

    New Pool - Spillway question

Moved from here. I have a newly remodeled pool to which what was supposed to be a waterfall spillway was installed. Spill way surface is 4 travertine flagstones with 1/2 inch grout lines. Originally they installed bull nose stones at spillway, then they cut the bullnose off flat with one edge of...
