Pump Slow Drip at Motor Assembly; Question on Plumbing Configuration

@ajw22 @1poolman1 Greatly appreciate the recommendations! Thankfully I'm not in too tight of a bind given no leaking when its not running, but will want to get that changed sooner rather than later since I run the pump daily to keep the water moving throughout. Those ideas should definitely help...

Pump Slow Drip at Motor Assembly; Question on Plumbing Configuration

Appreciate the info @1poolman1...I was hoping it might just be a gasket that needs to be addressed. Well aware that these things in most applications eventually need replacing as they begin to wear. I will certainly give this a shot. Now I just need to figure out if I do a spa drain down to...

Pump Slow Drip at Motor Assembly; Question on Plumbing Configuration

Thanks @ajw22! Signature updated...forgot it squeezed on number of characters so had to do some modifying. But I will take a look at shaft seal how to just in case it isn't doesn't end up being the body gasket.

Pump Slow Drip at Motor Assembly; Question on Plumbing Configuration

Hi folks, been a while here but could use some more expert advice. Had my pool just over 3 years now, and like everyone in south Texas this week been keeping an eye on things with the below freezing temperatures. Everything seems to be working ok, however, I went out to spot check pumps this...

Is my Pentair Intellivalve Actuator broken?

Thanks Allen, thanks Jim. @Jimrahbe I did review the manual and just as a sanity check went out again to ensure it was not in service mode. While I can press the "Mode" button and move it back to Auto/Off (with green light) after a handful of seconds the device returns to Auto/Off flashing red...

Is my Pentair Intellivalve Actuator broken?

I'll try to keep this short...I've got a Pentair Intellivalve Actuator that allows me to automate filling my Glacier Pool Chiller. Cleaned out the chiller basin to prep for firing it up for the first time this year, however, when I activated the Pentair Intellivalve via my IntelliCenter...

Removing Lens with O-Ring on Pentair ColorVision Bubblers

That’s no lie there! Guess I can’t be mad at good quality. Hard to find these days!

Removing Lens with O-Ring on Pentair ColorVision Bubblers

@awj22 just wanted to say thank you for your help and recommendation. Was able to use the tools while pulling up on the center portion of the lens and get all 3 out. Pentair really should add that to their instructions, or better yet make a video :ROFLMAO: but glad it worked. Thanks again!

Removing Lens with O-Ring on Pentair ColorVision Bubblers

(y)(y) I plan to give it a shot today. Thanks for the advice. I was not finding ANYTHING online (articles or videos) so was hoping someone had attempted here.

Removing Lens with O-Ring on Pentair ColorVision Bubblers

Thanks for the recommendation! And good news is I’ve actually got a set of those in my bathroom. Happy to replace them with a new set. So for the tools is it correct to assume you are using them between the lens and the outer shell? As pointed out in the picture attached? Asking as I assume...

Removing Lens with O-Ring on Pentair ColorVision Bubblers

Question for folks: does anyone who owns Pentair ColorVision Bubblers (with GloBrite lights) successfully removed the Lens with O-Ring? I am in need of accessing the Diffusers to clean them and I am not able to get the Lens off. I’ve got 3 bubblers and I’ve removed the cover ring and 8 screws as...

    Check Valve Positioning/Placement

Jim, That makes perfect sense. And appreciate the explanation on the spillway feature. I guess I was for some reason thinking it was more complex than it really is. I’m willing to bet then my valves are switched as I am certain the suction side moved so that’s good clarity there. But since...

    Check Valve Positioning/Placement

Allen, That is correct. In the image I posted of my return setup the very far left pipe going into the ground is associated to my spa return jets. The only thing controlling those jets is an actuator slightly to the right. No check valve here. The other method of water to the spa is to the...

    Check Valve Positioning/Placement

Allen/Jim, That makes sense and appreciate the detailed explanation. I may have not been paying attention to the return actuator but it absolutely could have been rotating as well which would make sense for the spillover mode. If I were to use it I would definitely want to make another pass to...

    Check Valve Positioning/Placement

Not to add more confusion but in looking at my attached return side image, I am also pondering even if my check valve was failing, when I am not using the makeup valve for spillover, the IntelliValve should be in it's HOME position which would mean it is closing off the top portion of that pipe...

    Check Valve Positioning/Placement

So good question Allen. I actually configured a feature circuit for Spillway mode but I don't quite think I have a full grasp on it as I noticed my spa suction side began to open in conjunction with my spa makeup line IntelliValve. Also not sure if my setup doesn't allow for the Spillover...

    Check Valve Positioning/Placement

Jim, Thanks for the input. I can definitely disable the spillover function to prevent any new water getting added back to the spa. However, I was keying in on your second statement with water draining down to just below the jets that are connected to the same check valve. Adding a bit of a...

    Check Valve Positioning/Placement

I have a quick question regarding the placement or positioning of a check valve specifically designed to keep my spa from losing water. I've attached a picture of the check valve in question, and while I know I've seen this setup before, and while my check valve is Pentair, I was reading in the...
