Can someone tell me the difference between these 2? The orange label says use once and the purple label says use to maintain. I’m confused. I’ve only ever used the orange label one but my husband came home with both.

Also, was never green. Blue when started. Added borax and the clarifier,picture I sent earlier, and that’s when it turned cloudy. PH was 6.8 and CYA was 30

So this isn’t what I should be using for CYA?

If you don’t recommend clarifiers, what do you recommend to increase CYA?

Thank you. I think that’s the issue. Put a plastic bag over it and the air leaking blew up the bag like a balloon.

Opening pool. Water is half way up skimmer so all set in that way. Started the pump and just getting sucking air.

Had a hurricane pass thru. Vacuumed the pool. Made sure chlorine was >10, as only had strips to use that day. Ither Chen’s good. Covered with leaf/winter cover. Just took the cover off and no sign of the powdery debris. Does that mean it wasn’t algae? Maybe silt and pollen? I’ve been working on...
