CC level of 8.19ppm - should I really add 20 lbs of cal hypo!?

I used my Taylor kit and got 9 for CC and then took it to Leslie's because it seemed off and it was almost the same. This happened to me last year as well at opening.

Newbie - balancing water help please

Thanks Maddie! I tested after the pool had been open and breathing for several hours today. How much Cl would you suggest adding? I think I have CC leftover from the opening process a few weeks ago. It looks blue but I can see a haze to it.

Newbie - balancing water help please

Hello - I'm new to "DIY" pool chemicals. I just tested my water (Taylor K-2006 kit) and my levels are below. I'm getting different suggestions from Pool Math (2 lbs soda ash, .5 gal liquid Cl, 2 lbs stabilizer) vs. Pool Doctor ( 0.8lbs soda ash, 5.2 lbs granular Cl, 1.7 lbs stabilizer). it...

Newbie advice needed- VERY high CC

Thanks for the response! It is 21,000 gal (in-ground concrete with a DE filter). It looks blue but with a cloudy haze. Last week it was green and I couldn't see the bottom after vacuuming, so much improved but I obviously have a CC problem to deal with :(
