Finally Plumbed my AGP with PVC

That is a great job there! I, too, like the double return jets there. I see you have the sand filter and then the SWG off of that. I need to do that with mine. My SWG is sitting off to the side until I can get some additional stones to sit it on after I installed my sand filter a few weeks...

Re: What the best ladder to use with an Intex Ultra frame Po Hi, My original ladder that came with the Intex started to rust up pretty badly... So I just picked up one from a pool company with an auction on eBay...

    Calcium - Saltwater Generator

Ran some tests last night to see where we are... Much better than what we started out with.. FC - 2 CC - 0.5 PH - 7.6 TA - 100 CYA - 65 I know my goal was 70-80 on the CYA.. Should I tweak it some more or just go with the 65 to avoid the risk of going too high??? Thanks again!

    Calcium - Saltwater Generator

Thanks chief! I'm just happy to see it is holding a decent FC now.. :) I will say that the sock was full and I didn't get the full amount in that the Pool Calc suggested. Let's see how the pool (sauna these days) looks in a few more days! Speaking of draining.. When I vacuum to waste...

    Calcium - Saltwater Generator

Went out this morning and saw that the sock was pretty empty... The water temp has been running 91-92 so it appears to have dissolved fairly quickly.. I'm sure the higher temps helped a little. Here's the new test results thus far.... FC - 2.5 CC - 0.5 PH - 7.5 (looks like it is between a 7.4...

    Calcium - Saltwater Generator

Thank you both.. I've put in my numbers into the Pool Calc and I'll pickup the necessary stabilizer tomorrow.. Is it ok to go liquid to move things along or should I stick with powder?? Looking at Leslie's website it appears the liquid is more expensive, but might be faster at getting to...

    Calcium - Saltwater Generator

Hi Jason, I ran some tests with my kit (the Taylor one recommended here).... FC: 1 TC: 1 PH: 7.6-7.8 Acid Demand: 1 CH: 475 TA: 100 CYA - Not understanding this test.. Says to take mixed sample from separate bottle and slowly drop into the small tube on my tester until Black dot...

    Calcium - Saltwater Generator

Hi, I've had my SWG for about a year now and my only complaint is the amount of maintenance required to de-calcify the cell generator on the system. I was in Leslie's the other day and mentioned the problem. The manager said to get Beautec and mix it into the pool to slow down the calcium...

    Vacuum Help!!!!

Hi, No problem.. maybe my bad terminology.. It is the port on the pool wall that is taking the water out of the pool to the filter system. It is a great system by the way.. I've had mine for about a month and love it.. I also have the Intex Saltwater generator that I need to put back in-line...

    Vacuum Help!!!!

Hi, I recently purchased an Intex 2650 sand filter and changed out the wall adapter for the outbound line. I also have the Poolmaster triangular vacuum head for my pool. The suction is so good on this 2650 that it makes the vacuum head stick to the bottom of the pool so you can budge. Can...

    SWG + Hard water fustrations

I guess....it is good to hear others are in the same boat.. not just to be in it, but to give ideas... I was looking at fountains, etc online last night.. There's some nice stuff out there.. just have to shop around. Did you purchase a fountain or are you building it yourself?? What did...

    SWG + Hard water fustrations

Things appear to be getting better.. Although we received our first rain of the summer tonight, so it might mess with things.. I went ahead and put in the 1 1/2 Cups even with the rain to keep going. I'll test again tomorrow morning to see what the final results are. No more strong rain...

    SWG + Hard water fustrations

Hi Robbie, I actually couldn't get any color in my drop reader this morning for FC. It was clear without any yellow coloring in there at all. You still think I should just go with bleach? I actually pulled down the pool calc for my iPhone and have it on there. I've seen the one on the...

    SWG + Hard water fustrations

Hi all, Things appear to be progressing.. Last night my PH was 8.4+ (off the scale) for my drop testing.. Acid Demand was a 5 which required 2 1/2 Cups of Muriatic Acid. I did this around dinner and then went back out around 11p last night and did another test.. The PH had dropped...

    SWG + Hard water fustrations

Thank you! I'll go pickup some more muriatic acid tonight after work and get started. I've read conflicting posts in various places that you can only add so much at a time and then again only so much in a given day.. My friend at work was saying he does a quart at a time easily when needed...

    SWG + Hard water fustrations

Quick question.. While I continue to work on this M.Acid being added is it ok to swim in the pool or should we stay out? My daughter and I were in last night and it was fine.. Like I said.. Looking at it, it seems fine, but when you run the tests.. no way! What about the calcium buildups...

    SWG + Hard water fustrations

Hi, I've been reading through the forums here to get an understanding on things and I feel a little lost in how to battle my hard water issues. We live in South Central Texas where the temps usually rest at 100+ degrees daily here and the upper 70s-80s at night. The water is extremely hard...
