    Green pool

I've read through the pool school several times and as much as I totally agree with everything that is said I just don't see the point in spending lots of money on chemicals and testers as we are nearing the end of the pool season. If this was an in ground pool then of course all the steps...

    Green pool

Okay, I'll get more bleach. Im going to walmart to look for a better test kit. Probably not going to spend a ton of money on one as until now, i've only needed to know the chlorine levels to keep it sparkling. Maybe im a lone ranger here but I havn't had to deal with chemicals at all other...

    Green pool

Okay, so I got up this morning and the pool was blue. It is pretty hazy but at least its not green. Should I use that "water clarifier" stuff that I bought? Or should I get more bleach. Im going to look at the other test kit and see how much they are. Thanks! Jake

    Green pool

I don't have a full test kit, just one that test for Chlorine and PH. I will get out there in the morning and get rid of the remaining leaves. I don't have an expensive test kit, the pool was only $300 itself. Do I have any other options?

    Green pool

Okay, we had a sparkling pool before we left on vacation but while we were gone there were major storms and tons of rain. When we got home the pool was clear but dark green. There are a ton of leaves on the bottom but nothing else. We have a 18x42 intex pool with a 633 2500gph pump. I put in...

Intex 633t pump and filter question

Update: bought a new 633 pump, unfortunately it didn't work well either. I finally figured out that the strainer, behind the skimmer basket hose that is attached to the side of the pool, was completely clogged with hair and trash. I cleaned that off and now it pumps like a champ. New problem...

Intex 633t pump and filter question

Update: looks like the 633 has died. We have a new 635 and I have installed that but it doesn't come close to pushing enough water. Anyone have a 633 they want to get rid of?

Intex 633t pump and filter question

Okay, I have the intex 633t pump and it works great. It has awesome pressure as well as suction. My question is as follows, how long should the filters last? This pump uses the "B" filters and they are lasting a day at the most. We previously had a 635 pump and it was terrible so we...

Beginner with questions that are probably already answered

Re: Beginner with questions that are probably already answer We've had our floater in the pool since day 1 which was about a month ago. We originally had the intex 635 pump and I guess its defective because it didn't pump hardly any water at all. now that we have the 633 we are getting a...

    Aqua Broom

We purchased the Aqua Broom to use in our intex 18'x42" easy set pool. I had the option of purchasing a sand and silt fine mesh filter for the aqua broom but choose not to spend the additional $18. Does anyone know of something I can place inside the bag that comes with it to act like a fine...

We have a intex 18x42" easy set pool with an intex 633t 2500gph pump. It uses the "B" filters. I also have the skimmer basket installed. We are using HTH 1 inch chlorine tabs in a pool floater and we fill it to the top with tabs. We also use the HTH "shock n swim" shock bags probably once a...
