    Florida 20x40 - Owner build

We ending up using two of the whole house filters below with 5 micon sediment filters connected to two hoses when we filled our pool. It was recommended that we use metal out when we started filling. Once the over got above the return jets we started up the pumps to start the circulation...

Tampa Pool Build (Almost Completed) - Pebblesheen Completed and Water Filled

The solar has been great. Last year ended a bit early mostly do to the hurricanes and then the cold night. So wasn't able to swim between October and Feb. Didn't have a cover during those times. So far we have been swimming since the beginning of March with the water temperatures around 78 to...

The Big Squeeze - Central Florida Pool Build

After I watched them seal our pavers initial, I plan to do the future coating myself. It doesnt seem to difficult. I have a semi wet look that took a few coats with a diluted flood coat, it was slipper at first but is a lot less now. I noticed after the application that the little bit of sand...

New Pool Equipment Pad Electrical Requirements

I second ajw22 recommendation of #6 which would handle at least 60A. It would handle the pumps and cover and controls.

The Big Squeeze - Central Florida Pool Build

Pavers look great. I would recommend sealing the pavers with some sharkskin. We have young kids, so sealing the pavers was a no brainer to avoid the anxiety of them getting stained. We like a more matte look rather then it being high gloss.

Tampa Pool Build (Almost Completed) - Pebblesheen Completed and Water Filled

Yes we were missing automation, all the inlet and outlet fitting, cutting the pavers around all the deckjet, skimmer and sanding the pavers. Better outcome then most.

For those with “ghosted” pool builders

This was my fantastic pool builder lol. I think i was one of the luck ones to get water in our pool as things were going south.

    2023 Tampa New Pool Build

Welcome. Just finished a pool in the Tampa Bay area this year. It took us 18 months to get water due our scamming PB. Make sure they spell out the make and model for the Pentair equipment including the lights. Try to get a completion date listed on the contract if possible. They will...

Pentair Intelliflo with inputs from Intelliconnect and Solartouch

Yes the solar touch will control a actuator. I just wanted to see if there is a way to take the RS connect from the Solartouch to tell the pump to increase but yet still connected to the Intelliconnect.

Pentair Intelliflo with inputs from Intelliconnect and Solartouch

Does anyone know if it would be possible to interconnect the Solartouch to the Intelliconnect. I would like to primarily control the pump thru the intelliconnect and get reading like normally. What I would like is to change the pump speed when the solartouch is activated.

Based on the recommendation of the last two post it would seem to contradict Pebbletec recommendation.

Starting Borates with a new Pebble Sheen Pool

Thank you. It looks like adding it would be too bad. It seems like the benefit for us out weight the cons. Im trying to do some research if the borates would hurt the fresh plaster.

Starting Borates with a new Pebble Sheen Pool

We just go thru the first month of our PebbleSheen. Salt and SWG was just started up. Noticed that the PH has been creeping up everyday and will probably be doing so for the next year. Would like to start adding borates to help stabilize the PH. Are there any thoughts on starting borates...

    Gunite curing 7 months

You might want to look into the PB FB or website to see the negative reviews to see if you can reach out to the other current clients. It does help when you have multiple clients that can relay info on what might be happen on other projects.

    Gunite curing 7 months

Wow i'm sorry to hear. I also started in Jan of 2021 and just got water in our pool. We are still missing out automation and several misc items to repair. We had gunite shot in March of 2021 and waited will June to get water. It was a very slow process in between each step. Our builder...

    Pool inspection problems

Yes that is the same box. Our electrican put the duct seal in the 5 holes that have the conduit attached. As long as it installed per NEC, sealed as noted by Bill above it should pass.

    Pool inspection problems

I believe from my recent install that they used Plug Duct Seal Compound to seal the conduit opening that is connected to the black junction box. If we open it up you will see the opening to be plugged.

How long does it take to acid wash pebble Sheen?

We just had our Pebble Sheen acid washed yesterday. There were here about 2.5 hours with to guys working. They also pressure washed the interior and deck within that time. The pressure washing removed most of the plaster dust. It would seem if they were to buff that would be several more...

Tampa Pool Build (Almost Completed) - Pebblesheen Completed and Water Filled

I'm taking it to get tested today for iron. Also plan on adding sequestrant once it finishes filling. In gonna figure out the gallons with a meter but I will have multiple hoses. Can I add the sequestrant before it's fully filled?

Well good news today. The pebble crew came out to shoot the PebbleSheen Blue Granite. Waiting until Monday for them to acid wash then we can start filling. I guess our swimming timeline go moved up a bit. It only took 18 months to get water. Still missing our intelliconnect and misc items.

Alright another task somehow completed by the PB. The PB started paying some of her subs and now they are either requesting money upfront or working one job at a time until they get paid for that job. After waiting 70 days from the equipment set. We had a surprise, the Electrician came out to...
