    Intermittent tripping of GFCI

You have many issues there that need attention but one thing you might think about to save space is to change some of your pumps to 120v. I'm not sure what pumps you have but some can either be 240v or 120v. Then depending on the amp draw, you can double up some of the smaller pumps by feeding...

    Standard pool electrical - Inground

For your proposed set up a 30a 120/240v service will be more than enough. Are you sure the pump you want to purchase is 1.75hp? I'm thinking its the Pentair 1.5hp VS. (Draws less than 10a at 240v) There are many ways to achieve automation for a VS pump but the simplest way it to keep the...

Intellicenter Load Center - Type 3R enclosure

If you use the opening on the side for a GFCI you need an "In use" weatherproof cover. Thats what they are saying.

    Main Drain?

    1. Yes. 2. Yes, the are connected. Most on this site say that you don't really need a main drain. Skimming is more important.

You should do a rock/stone border there. As Toxo said, grass cutting will be a PITA.

    New SWG System

Whatever my problem was cleared up. Pool is holding chlorine fine and there is no overnight loss. Now my only issue is the IC20. It just barley keeps up at 100%. Hopefully my IC40 or 60 will be in soon. I can only guess that I had ammonia or maybe a little bit of algae but I dont know where...

    New SWG System

I didnt do the test officially but 2 days ago I put a gallon in and it went to 0 in less than an hour. I also lost all my CYA. I think I might be getting past the problem. I added 2 gallons yesterday afternoon. In a couple hours it was gone. Added 2 more gallons last night and got to...

    New SWG System

Draining the pool down a foot or so to get the salt under control. Re-tested this afternoon and the salt was still at 5800-6000.

New quartz finish, after 1 week still not a lot of aggregate exposed.

I have Diamond Brite and my builder did the "hot start" as you call it. After the pool was filled he added several gallons of muriatic acid. This exposed the blue in the Diamond Brite. My finish has a slight rough texture, Maybe like 600-1000 grit sand paper. My friend has the same plaster...

    New SWG System

I'm not sure why I'm not reading any FC. Added 2 gallons of LC last night and 1 gallon of stabilizer to get to 70 CYA. I ran the pump last night and had the IC20 at 100%. This morning my FC is 0. Tried 2 different test kits to make sure they were correct. I also tested salt and that came to...

    New SWG System

Another odd thing is that it seems like my CYA disappeared. I was at 30 before I added the salt. Then went to zero. I added 3 gallons Tuesday to get it up to 50. I'm just temporary using the 20 until my supplier gets my IC40. Is the 20 inadequate for temporary?

    New SWG System

I just switched to a SWG. Using a Pentair IC-20. I'm having trouble keeping my FC up. My salt is a little high at 4350 but the SWG is not giving me any trouble codes. I'm running an Intellicenter. I havent run an overnight loss yet but I added a 1/2 gallon of liquid chlorine last night and...

That looks like plaster that dripping on right after it was finished. They should be able to sand that down.

Poor main drain suction after new plaster renovation

I can't believe its cemented on itself. Usually the plaster is cured right after the water is filled. You need to fix it yourself because most pool companies suck and do not have good customer service. They do not have an attention to detail. I do electrical for a few different pool...

Poor main drain suction after new plaster renovation

Its probably pieces of your old plaster that fell in when they chipped it out. I'd take the cover off and reverse the flow again then pick up the big pieces and suck up the rest with your vacuum. Most here will say you dont really need a main drain anyway.

intellicenter load center - wiring question

Use your existing #6 feed wires to pull in new #3 wire and change your breaker to a 100a 2 pole. Will be a tight squeeze in 1" PVC but it will work. Alternately you can pull in #4 and use a 80a 2 pole breaker if you can find one. Either would be enough power for your pool, hot tub and a few...

    Replaster vs Epoxy

You are basically getting a new pool for that price. Standard replaster should be anywhere between $10-25K from what I have seen. The problem is that most pool companies are swamped building new pools and have all the "service" or "rehab" type work on the back burner.

I think it was Tri-State that shot mine. Yours does look very nice. The long seating on the left side is pretty cool. I'm thinking thats where you'll be sitting with a drink in your hand. lol I have State Farm insurance and my rate did not change at all and I have a diving board.
