    Leak Question

Jim, I figured that the O ring was shot so for $22 bucks I figured I might as well replace it and see if it stops the leak. Tim

    Leak Question

Thanks Jim. the pool is about 8-9 years old. I just changed the pump motor a few months ago and now I saw this today. There was also air in my filter that I had to bleed out. I'm wondering if I can just change the O ring out to fix this. Today is the first time in the 2 years we've owned...

    Leak Question

Hey guys, I went out today and noticed water under my pump. It isn't leaking between the motor and the volute, but I think I found where it is leaking. Is there a rubber gasket that I can replace to fix this? Thanks! Tim

Replaced SS motor with Variable and have wiring question

Yes, both are connected at the timer. However it looks like for some odd reason the VGreen/Vlink isn't losing wifi settings after its powered off for 24 hours, so they must have a battery backup. I might move the pump to the constant power in panel this weekend so the VGreen always stays on...

Replaced SS motor with Variable and have wiring question

Hi, I have a Pentair Whisperflo pump and I just replaced the motor with a Century VGreen 165 variable speed motor with the VLink wifi adapter (which gets its power from the VGreen motor). My Pentair IC40 is attached to the intellichlor wall unit for power which attaches into the timer box...

    VGreen 165 Replacement Motor

I talked to the guys at pinch a penny today and they said it's likely that a diffuser isn't needed unless its cracked. I turned my pump on today and its working great. However, now there is constant power to the system because my new pump has wifi mgmt that allows me to schedule the RPMs of...

    VGreen 165 Replacement Motor

Hey guys, I just replaced my single speed USQ1102 with a VGreen 165 variable speed motor. During the installation I ended up having to replace the plate that attaches between the impeller and the motor because the metal screw bushings pulled out due to corrosion. The single speed was replaced...

    Overflow spigot leaking

I went to Ace Hardware and picked up a new bib and some pipe thread compound. They didn't have anything called thread joint compound but the guy said its the same thing. I put everything together, but there is no drying time on the container. Do you know how long I should wait to turn the...

    Overflow spigot leaking

Just tried to tighten the top of it and it still leaked. So will look into replacing it tomorrow. I like the hose cap idea so will grab a couple just in case it happens to any others around the house in the future.

    Overflow spigot leaking

Hey guys, the spigot that is attached to my plumbing that I use to drain the pool when it gets too full isn't closing fully anymore so its leaking. Does anyone know if this is a standard size for threads or do I need to take it off and take it to the store? Should I just replace the spigot or...

    Another IC40 with no lights

I ended up going to the local pool store and bought a whole new power center and everything is up and running. Now its time to go read the pool school info and learn how to test everything correctly. Thanks everyone for your help! Tim

    Another IC40 with no lights

I replaced the transformer and have no power going out of it now. All wires are connected based on how the old one was wired. One thing is the new transformer has a green and yellow wire and the old one had a green only. I 'm assuming this is still ground but can someone confirm? The old...

    Another IC40 with no lights

The transformer was $187 on Amazon. How can I test the voltage with the cell installed? Do I need to pull the cover off of the IC40? Thanks! Tim

    Another IC40 with no lights

Ok, based on your replies I have on order a new IC40, fuses for the future, a new fuse housing and the transformer. Since the output was only 29 volts to the IC40 could that transformer be on its way out? Just curious at this point even though I'm replacing it. Thanks! Tim

    Another IC40 with no lights

Thanks, we do have the test kit and do our own testing too (but to be honest, only Chlorine and PH). Chlorine always read high with the kit as well. :( Tim

    Another IC40 with no lights

Thank you for the replies! I just tested the output voltage by unscrewing the IC40 connector and the output read 29 volts. I run the pump for 8 hours in the Summer (an hour for every 10 degrees of pool heat is what I was told and last Summer the pool maintained 82 degrees). When I say "too...

    Another IC40 with no lights

Hi everyone, I'm new here. We bought a house last year with a pool and the IC40 never worked correctly. The owner told me she just used a floater with a tab in so that's what I've done. I tried to get the levels right but it always over chlorinated. Even when I had the IC40 at the lowest...
