    Another mudslide

Huge storms only seem to roll through when my yard is under construction. 2 years ago it was so bad that I said screw it, drained the pool and replaced the liner. It had to happen anyway. A week ago... It happened again. This time I decided on a partial drain and... Aluminum sulfate. And I've...

    Quiet booster pump recommendations

Just replaced my main pump and am quite impressed with how much quieter it is than my old single speed. Now I want to replace my booster pump (powers a polaris quattro pressure side cleaner) which is LOUD. Any recommendations?

Just unboxed a Hayward 1.65 VS Pump

I think it's time to call a professional 😭 Had to replace my old Hayward single speed pump with a variable speed today. Problem is this pump has a larger footprint so the configuration of it and my booster need to change. The image shows how I plan to have these things fit. A few questions...

    Pool vacuum head recommendations needed

My pool vacuum head is pretty crappy. I bought this one and it's falling apart. Any recommendations on a better one? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08S7G2L75/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_G2FZQPRW5NBDBDCWYP3X

    Pool return direction

I've been battling cloudy water in my deep end. I am SLAMing, but I really think I've been creating a lot of my own problem by not circulating my pool properly. I've always aimed my pool returns directly at the skimmers opposite the returns. To make matters worse, I leave my pump on 100% skimmer...

    Dirty water

Had a couple heavy rainstorms in the last month which caused some dirt to wash into the pool. I've raised chlorine levels and have ran my pump 24/7 ever since but I think my pump and sand filter have done everything they're capable of without a little extra help. Should I add floc or DE? Any...

    New liner, New water

Hi all, I started following TFP this year before an awful storm wreaked havoc on my pool. I drained the nastiest, swampiest water imaginable last weekend. I endured a not-so-great liner replacement fiasco this week, but that's mostly behind me. The pool is almost half full now and I expect it...

    Hayward ColorLogic replacement

Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement for this Hayward ColorLogic LED light? It's dang expensive and I'm not so sure that I care about having many color options for the pool water, as we are getting a liner that is a dark blue color.

Liner installation underway - should I worry?

Left the house as day 1 of liner installation wrapped up. Returned to find huge wrinkles at the main drains located at the deep end. Can't reach the construction manager now. They'll be back in the morning but should I continue filling the pool in the meantime?

    Well, now what?

The title says it all... A truckload of dirt and topsoil was laid beneath 800 Sq ft of sod yesterday. It's now the latest installment to be featured in my pool. Also, what is this forums F bomb policy?

    Deck jet repair

Ever since I bought our house, 2 of our 6 deck jets have not worked properly. They gush instead of shoot out in a Jetstream. Is this typically a matter of replacing the nozzles? Or is a more in depth repair necessary?

    Light bulb replacement identification

This is probably a long shot, but can anyone identify the correct light bulb replacement from an external visual inspection? I know it's a pentair.

From blue to green in hours

Hello, First time posting. And I should mention up front that I'm colorblind. Enough that I have a difficult time reading water test results, but not so bad that I can't tell that my pool liner has gone from being a lovely blue to the ugly green you see in the attached pictures. So, how did...
