SWG VS CHEMICALS - COLMAN 22’ x 52” Intex Sand Filtrr

Yes, this I know. I am trying to gather the info for my sister. She was led to believe that someone with the same pool and sand filter just adds the salt and never ahas to do anything more. Actually in the almost 11 years we had the pool at my house, I found it was. Easter the raise ph than...

SWG VS CHEMICALS - COLMAN 22’ x 52” Intex Sand Filtrr

Okay, so am I correct in saying that even with an SWG, on a brand new fresh fill, alkalinity needs to be reused and ph needs to be raised anyway, and the SWG only takes care of the chorine? Because this guy made it sound to my sister that it’s just salt and go and he never needs to do anything more.

SWG VS CHEMICALS - COLMAN 22’ x 52” Intex Sand Filtrr

Debate here on if we should go SWG. Living with my sister temporarily. And we will be putting up this new pool. She was talking to a guy at work who has same pool with a salt water system and said he never has to do anything. My experience having had the Inex metal frame pools is with using...

    Posts not vertical

Our old 24' X 52" metal frame bought at the end of summer in 2007 had the rope and poles went through the straps. When we put it up this year we had a seam leak. Given the age of it, we got a new 22' X 52' Ultra Frame. This one is built like the one in this post, no rope, no sleeves around the...

Will Solar Cover While Filling Speed Warming? (Intex 22 X 52)

Oh boy! We got a late start this year, got our old (First year 2008) 24 X 52 Intex Metal Frame up, got water approx 7 inches and discovered a leak at the seam around the bottom. Given that we had already used that pool 6 summers already, we did not want to risk the seam blowing. We drained and...

Slow Start To Filling This Year - Not Yet Full & Nasty

Well, because of the Dang weather here in MA this year, we are still filling our Intex 24 X 52 Metal Frame. Problem is I starting flling a couple of weeks back and stopped because of the constant drenching rain we have had. Plus I have to turn the hose on an off during the day due to needing...

    Should We Change The Sand?

Got new Intex Sand Filter last summer, used for the season. Thus far this summer I'm needing to backwash almost daily because flow through the output seems to loose strength, and that seems to be the only way to get the flow going really well again. When my husband put the thing in the shed...

    Underwater Pictures

Not of my pool per say, but what I like to do in my pool! This is a collage made from pulling stills from some video clips of my nephew.

Recirulate Setting - What's It For / When To Use?

2nd season with Intex Sand Filter and am wondering when, if ever the recirculate setting should be used? When on that setting the water comes through the return with more pressure than when it's on Filter. I've never actually used or left the pump on that setting, but am wondering when or why...

    Pool Broom

Got my Aqua Broom and love it! I does come with a piece you put on it so you can use a regular extension pole. It came with two fine mesh bags so you can get the finer stuff and works great. I did have some trouble trying to turn it off with wet hands, plus I'm pushing 55 and have arthritis...

    Pool Broom

Okay, I just ordered the Aqua Broom from Amazon. It's on sale for 33.00. I have an extension pole, and even if it doesn't fit, I'm only 5' 1" tall, so stooping a little if the pole doesn't fit it shouldn't be a big deal.

    Pool Broom

This Aqua Broom looks awesome! Two questions: 1) Will a regular extension pole fit it/work with it? 2) How is it on batteries? Do you find you need to replace them really often?

    Vacumming With Intex Sand Filter

Pool is Intex Metal Frame 24' X 48". Last year we finally got the Intex Sand Filter to replace the Crud that comes with it. The vac is the one that has the little mesh bag inside the cup that you have to place inside the skimmer housing on the inside of the pool. Question: Is it safe to hook...

Can you go shallower with an AGP?

Three words. Speedo Swim Vest! I can't say enough good things about them! Your kids are going to grow quickly, so you'll want the depth before you know it! We started with an Intex inflatable ring pool when my nephew was 3/almost 4. That first year, in that pool he used the blow up arm band...

    Census Poll on Intex Users

Metal frame 24' X 4 feet deep with Intex sand filter pump. We rent so this is perfect. Putting up and taking down is a pain, but worth it for us. We got the pool really cheap at the end of the season in 2008 from Walmart online. We had gone one season with a 10 or 12 foot inflatable ring and...

    4th Year With Intex 24' by 4ft Deep - 3-4 inches Unlevel

Measured, at the highest point from water level to top rail it is 5 inches higher. Specs say level, but it never has been, it's just never been this much..maybe 2-3 in past years.

    4th Year With Intex 24' by 4ft Deep - 3-4 inches Unlevel

This is our fourth season with our 24' Intex metal frame pool. It has never sat perfectly level and has been fine. The whole yard slopes, so when we made our pool spot, we chose the most level part, and dug out a low side while building up another side...it's always worked fine. I'd say in the...
