    EasyTouch / ScreenLogic 2 Issues

I didn't specify because I figured he knew what he was doing. The problem is they are now MIA and I've been forced to learn this stuff on my own. It's amazing how some people can sleep at night knowning they screwed a client. I can file a complaint with the state of Florida but I doubt it...

    EasyTouch / ScreenLogic 2 Issues

No it's actually the correct relay and it actually works if I control it through the outside panel. I spoke to Pentair today and without some serious work arounds which may or may not work and alot of headaches, I have the wrong system and my pool builder messed up big time. Since I have two...

    Question about laminars

I have 3 laminars running off a Intelliflo VS pump with a pipe run of about 30 feet and they run fine at 1500 RPM. You should have no problem with your set-up.

    EasyTouch / ScreenLogic 2 Issues

First off I have to say that Pentair wrote an absolutely horrible users manual for the DIY'er in setting up this system to work the right way. It's so bad I didn't know where to turn so I thought I'd try here to get some advice. 1. I have an EasyTouch 8 system. An Intelliflow VS pump (for...

CYA High but not experiencing any problems

Makes sense. If I can plan a day or two out and I know we are going to get rain, I'll do a good backwash to drain the pool some and then let mother nature fill it back up. Just by the posts on here, it seems like I should do something rather than do nothing.

CYA High but not experiencing any problems

I meant evaporation and then a top off of the pool which I've done a few times this year already. Live in Florida and the afternoon storms seem to keep the pool full most of the time. If my water didn't look so good and everything staying so stable I would make a change but I haven't had to...

CYA High but not experiencing any problems

Test results: 8/17/2011 FC: 4.0 CC: 0 PH: 7.6 Alk: 70 CH: 70 CYA: 110 Salt: 3000 I'm not experiencing any issues and the water looks awesome but should I be concerned about the high CYA? It's been like that since about May and I was hoping through splash out and evaporation that it...

Backwash Hose for Intex Sand Filter

What does everyone use for a backwash hose on the Intex 2650 Sand Filter? I'm using a intex hose that is usually used to connect to the return and it's just not long enough. I need something closer to 15-20 feet long. Suggestions?

    Fountain to cool down pool

Surprisingly the PH doesn't rise much. There's just enough "flow" to keep the pool cool without affecting the PH much. My PH rises much more during a thunderstorm than it does in a week with the fountain.

    Fountain to cool down pool

I know alot of people have plumbed a fountain into their return to cool the pool and have had great success. I chose to take a different route and purchased a standalone fountain that runs 24/7 in the middle of the pool. The pool never gets above 90 degrees during the day and every morning...

Intex cartridge vs. Sand filters-size particle removed??

For what it's worth. I'm a recent graduate to the 2650 GPH Sand Filter and one thing I noticed with the Cartridge filter was a line of dirt forming off the water return eye ball. I'd clean it off but it always re-formed. I'm certain this was because of the way the filter sits in the...

Intex sand filter - sand problems

The #20 Silica Sand at Pinch and Penny works good too. As a matter of fact, very little sand was removed during the backwashing process when I set up the sand and pump filter.

    Intex return eyeball problem

This is not true. According to the instructions for my pump the rubber washer goes on the inside of the pool up against the return. On the inside of the return there are some rubber pieces that can open and close if there's too much PSI into the eye retun. Make sure those are all flat and...

4000 GPH Intex Pump with the 2650 GPH Sand Filter

I'm pretty sure the 4000 GPH is a 3/4 HP pump and the 2650 GPH sand filter is a shy under 1 HP.

4000 GPH Intex Pump with the 2650 GPH Sand Filter

2650GPH vs 4000GPH yes but it looks to me like the horsepower on the 2650 is bigger than the 4000. I don't know enough about these pumps to make that big of an informed decision, that's why I asked.

HELP PLEASE! WITH SALTWATER, NEW POOL, NEW EVERYTHING

There are two power cords going into the area where the water flows through. The one on the right is the chlorine generator, the one of the left is the copper producer. Just unplug the copper one on the left. If your not comfortable with doingthat, just leave it alone until you do a little...

HELP PLEASE! WITH SALTWATER, NEW POOL, NEW EVERYTHING

Just unplug it. It's the cord on the left side of the Intex SWCG as you are looking at it from the front. Some users have noticed staining of their pools and also some swimmers hair turning green. Unplugging it stops any production of copper.

Custom PVC Pipe Adapter for Intex Pools

I was trying to avoid using the plunger valves altogether as it's been mentioned a time or two on these forums that it is a source of some water impeadment. I also think taking out the plunger valves gives your pool a cleaner look but that's just a prefernece of mine. Doing more research I...

HELP PLEASE! WITH SALTWATER, NEW POOL, NEW EVERYTHING

Stabilizer is like sunscreen for your chlorine. If your pool is "stabilized" less of your chlorine produced by the SWCG will be burned off by the sun. You can buy it in a 3 lb jug at walmart. I went through 6lbs of the stuff to get enough stablizer into my pool. I found using some panty hose...

Custom PVC Pipe Adapter for Intex Pools

Installation of my Intex Ultra AGB

I put together my Intex Ultra Frame AGP yesterday and filled it. I watched the water fill and moved the legs as needed to keep things plumb. What I didn't prepare for was the last foot or so of water really caused my legs to get a little out of wack where the "T" meets the leg, the T is kind...
