    Plaster Crack

We estimate the pool was installed in '87 or '88. I have attached pictures of one end of the crack. The other end has water standing now so its harder to get to. It looks like the crack that transcribed through to the surface lines up with one side of the V cut into the shell. I was careful...

    Plaster Crack

We are in the middle of our pool renovation project and are getting close to the plaster step. When we started the project we noted that there was a hairline "crack" in the plaster that extended down one wall across the bottom of the pool and up the other wall. Now that I have chipped some of...

    Pool Pump Buzzing

The important thing is that is a 30uF 440VAC capacitor. As long as you match those specs it would just be getting one that fits into the housing on the motor. It looks like Amazon stocks a "Jard 12741" capacitor that meets the specs and you can measure yours to see if its the same physical size.

    Pool Renovation Dallas, TX

My current testing with just 1x of the TFP PVC coolers has brought my pool down to 82 (a little chilly for us). So I think in the end the deck jets are going to work well. I did play with pushing more water through the PVC chiller instead of letting it through the returns (with the use of...

    Pentair IntelliCenter Review and Information

I just ordered my i10PSIC40 from Polytec for our pool remodel/SPA upgrade project. This is going to be exciting! Now I just have to wait 3 months to play with it.

    Pool Renovation Dallas, TX

I looked at that chiller some, just concerned about the cost to run it/maintaining it. I know they aren't as expensive to run as the older style chillers, but my concern is it will take quite a bit of runtime to bring down our pool.

    Pool Renovation Dallas, TX

Yeah, I didn't type it all up yet but new deck, new plaster, new coping, new tileline, new main-drain, etc... We are getting the works done. My concern with 1 pump is with 10 jets at 11-15GPM thats going to need 110GPM to keep it running properly. And if I have to push that through a...

    Pool Renovation Dallas, TX

My wife and I are getting ready for a pool renovation and I am stuck on a few items. We are already planning on adding an IntelliCenter Automation system to the Pool/SPA to control everything. Currently the pool doesn't have a SPA attached to it and we would like to add one. I am thinking we...

    Pentair Shortage?

It was just a blanket statement by the PB. I am suspicious that it was a ploy to get me to buy Jandy instead of Pentair. I saw the same thing on Polytec so I contacted another PB that we are evaluating and he said that he found "1" of the 5PS systems. So there maybe some truth to the...

    Pentair Shortage?

Hi Everyone, I have been a reader here for a little while and I am planning a pool renovation right now. I have been talking to a few pool companies and one of them mentioned that Pentair has been having equipment shortages. I am not sure how true that is so I wanted to ask if anyone else has...
