That sucks, had I known I would not have wasted money on a SWCG. Kind of useless if I have to constantly still add bleach which is ridiculously expensive. With tax it costs a little over 8$ per 5L and with my pool size it would take like 20 litres to get it into the 20-22 ppm .

I added around 2 litres of purox this am. Should I bring FC up to 6-7 ppm before party and after ?

Thanks, Jim, I appreciate the help. I added 2kg if CYA 3 days ago. I was at 60ppm yesterday. I read on here that I should wait 7 days to add again to be sure not to blow past my mark. I just bought 5 jugs of purox and added a little to be sure I'm at proper levels untill I get this sorted out...

Yesterday am I noticed my FC was a little low. I checked again around noon and still low. I put the SWCG on super chlorinate all day and still didn't go over 3ppm. I left it on 95% and this am it is still at 3ppm. I'm in vacation and it's been sun all day every day and we've been averaging 10...

Last test was this evening ( log is in my profile) FC 6.5, pump running 41% output.

Heat warning in effect. Insanely hot and humid and full sun all day. So basically there should be 0 FC loss over night therefore I should not have to run the pump overnight ? All FC is lost during the day and that is the only time we need to have SWG running ?

At 100% output it says I only need to run my pump 3.5 hours. Clearly something is entered wrong or there is a glitch.

I'm trying to figure out the % that my SWG needs to be on based on my pump hours but I'm not sure what to put in the middle row where its asking for pounds.

I just had the water checked at the pool store. FC 2 TA 110 PH 7.4 CH 500 CYA 30 I took another gallon of muriatic acid to try to drop the TA more. I will do it in a few days when the PH is higher.

How long does it generally take to see the PH rise with aeration alone? I have 4 kids playing in there for 2-6 hours a day and 4 deck jets running while they are playing. I'm just curious as the ph is at 7.0 and it hurt my youngest eyes this evening.
