Chlorine pool, FC & TC are high @ 5-10, pH 7.6, total AL 90. There are a lot of small black dots on the bottom which can brushed away with a wire brush and a lot of elbow grease. Is there an easier way to remove those black spots? Thanks.

DTE was replaced last week; removed element, hosed off old DTE, and installed filter prior to adding new DTE. We recently experienced soma algae issues that left stains on the bottom of the pool. Does anyone have a technique to remove the stains. I've tried brushing which helps, but doesn't completely remove the stains.
