Demo in CA Bay Area? Is there really any difference?

I’m sure there would be a market for a pool demolishing robot ? Do you have a local retailer you recommend? I’m about 15 minutes from Alamo so your somewhat local... It’s disappointing that Dolphin says you can get demos from there dealers and I have 2 “elite” dealers near me and neither have...

Demo in CA Bay Area? Is there really any difference?

So don’t believe the marketing hype? What I really want is a pool cleaner that doesn’t spend 90% of its time hung up on a step and something that can suck up the dirt on the bottom. I’m assuming the wall scrubbing still reduces the frequency you brush but doesn’t eliminate it right?

Demo in CA Bay Area? Is there really any difference?

I was hoping to find a robotic cleaner to demo for a day before spending $1,000 + on one. I can't believe how hard it is to find a dealer in the east bay area that has a demo, its not like I'm in the middle of nowhere... The Dolphin "Elite Dealer" I talked to today doesn't even stock any of...

Jandy Controllers and Equipment - DIY

The pool is pretty basic with no water falls or deck jets, but the package includes a Polaris 360 energy sweep. Thanks for the insight on not getting a credit or being able to keep the existing pump, it doesn't seem like I'm getting a credit even though they say I am. I already approved and...

Jandy Controllers and Equipment - DIY

I only plan to have 1 motorized valve for the solar. The spa is going to be a separate standalone unit. Is the IQ20-RS just for communication and interface upgrade to the Aqualink RS or is it a whole controller package?

Jandy Controllers and Equipment - DIY

It maybe too late but I think I’m going to need to speak to my pool contractor. It looks like I’ve over paid quite significantly, I had the JEP controller and a flopro pump. They claimed that what I paid was the “upgrade costs”. The equipment still isn’t installed or onsite either, I don’t...

Jandy Controllers and Equipment - DIY

Wow thanks for the response! I only have the control panel box installed so far, I’ll inquire about the upgrade or see if it’s included. I already paid a $2k upgrade cost to get the PDA-P4 controller over the standard! Plus a $600 upgrade to a stealth pump. The pool contractor claimed that was...

Jandy Controllers and Equipment - DIY

My new pool includes a Jandy PDA controller and a Jandy variable speed pump. From what I can see Jandy is decent manufacturer, however they do not sell to the public only "pool" contractors. My concern is I want to add a solar heating system and I paid for the upgraded PDA controller and pump...

Is this Typical - Area Around the Pool

They say they are done outside the pool... and I need to back fill their trenches and the ramp so that they can finish. I don't see how they can consider that completing the plumbing leaving it exposed and leaving the liability of protecting and proper back filling on me. If I back fill the...

Is this Typical - Area Around the Pool

My pool construction is in progress and I just found out that the contractor is leaving the area around the pool in the state shown in the pictures. They are leaving the ramp they cut into the deep end of the pool with the piping suspended in mid air with no back fill. I never received...

    Solar System Basics

My pool is currently under construction by my licensed pool contractor and I'm looking to do the solar heating portion my self. I'm having them upgrade the control panel to a Jandy Aqualink PDA and the pump to a variable speed Jandy stealth pro series pump. From my research the Jandy is...
