    Water flow into pool decreased

The valve appears to be part number SP0714T, from the PDF file showing the S244T sand filter with the valve on it. BTW, the attempt to use WD-40 on the valve itself did not produce the desired result. It is still sticking in the partially open/closed position.

    Water flow into pool decreased

I will try Tom's suggestion first and see how that pans out. I will get back with you with the results. In the meantime, I just had ONE question for now: If my above attempt fails to fix the sticking multi-port valve handle, and I DID decide to take apart the multi-port valve, do you know of...

    Water flow into pool decreased

Hello, I have Hayward S244T sand filter coupled to a Hayward pump/motor. The system is at least 10 years old. Up to the month of April everything seemed to have been working properly. But recently I have noticed a decrease in the flow returning to the pool. This is most noticeable where the...

Problem with tile cracking and falling off around spa

Hi Britinusa, We are planning on removing the deck (which goes all the way around the spa - right up to where it meets the cold joints on either side of the spa) BEFORE we set tile. We are contemplating putting crushed rock and 24" circular walking stones around the spa. My concern is that...

Problem with tile cracking and falling off around spa

Hi Melt In The Sun, When you say "... the shell of the spa is cracked..." what specifically do you mean by that? IOW, are you saying that the plaster (which is the innermost part of the spa) or are you saying the gunite (outermost) is cracked? Or am mixed up on my terminology? And THANKS for...

Problem with tile cracking and falling off around spa

Hello, I am in the need of some expert advice from you guys. We purchased our home about 6 years ago which also had a pool and spa. Due to circumstances beyond our control (hurricane Katrina), we did not return to live in the house until a year and half ago (the house was being rented...
