Thanks for your help. Zodiac support got back to me and said to have it serviced because like James said, the diffuser should not be sticking out like that.

I have Jandy Stealth SHPM2.0-2 pump and recently it has been harder taking the basket in and out. Looking at where the water flows to the pump, there seems to be a lip there that wasn't there before. Has this happened to anyone? Here is a photo: Thanks, Ruben
