    Intelliflo Power Failure

I opened up the case where the board and controller are. The wires are connected with blade connectors (like anderson power pole connectors). However most of the control board is potted to the bottom of the case and the wires run through the epoxy. Keeps that all sealed up well. I opted to...

    Intelliflo Power Failure

Was able to pull the block a part and cleaned as much of the brittle fried plastic as I could. The block was really fried. Trimmed back the wires and cleaned the terminals the best I could and flipped the breaker. At lease the pump still works. I let it go full steam at 3450rpm for about...

    Intelliflo Power Failure

Thanks for all of the helpful info!! So the white corrosion on the top wasn't likely a result of a short term overheat? The gasket on the cover and the seal to the wiring are all in good shape? Ino sure how to seal that any better. No leaks in the area that I recall either. The wire was...

    Intelliflo Power Failure

One additional bit. The label on the pump above calls for #8 wire and the installer used #12. Not sure if that would be a factor? They redid the plumbing and installed the new smart panel last summer.

    Intelliflo Power Failure

Another year, another surprise. Decided to open the pool early this year to give me some time to work on lights and maybe fashion a swim jet in the pool. Opened over the week and got the pump running 2 days ago for a bit. The DE filter was leaking so I only ran the pump for an hour or so...

    Pentair Intelliflo VS/227T Trips Breaker

The Siemens breaker came and I have had it in for almost 3 days now. No issues with the breaker tripping this far (fingers crossed). I can run at any speed on the pump and it seems to chug along just fine. Have been running way lower wattage and pool still seems to be behaving. Thanks for...

    Pentair Intelliflo VS/227T Trips Breaker

I haven't dialed in the settings for extended run yet. When I installed the pump I was just trying to circulate as the previous pump had been out almost a full day and I needed to get the chlorine level up. I barely got things up and running and the issues above showed up. I will certainly...

    Pentair Intelliflo VS/227T Trips Breaker

Thanks for the info, In the owners manual I downloaded they didn't mention a specific breaker. There is a siemens 20A dual pole GFCI breaker in there. the label is unreadable and honestly it looks quite old and past its age. I can only read the very bottom of the label. Its been running...

    Pentair Intelliflo VS/227T Trips Breaker

Got a bit more info, when I first turn the pump on and it is priming at full speed it pulls about 10.9amps, running at 2350rpm it pulls 3.5amps steady and at 3110rpm it pulls 7.9amps. both legs match in amperage.

    Pentair Intelliflo VS/227T Trips Breaker

Hello, We are in the process of upgrading the equipment pad on our pool. We are going to have a local company come in and move the panel, install and intellicenter, SWCG and heater. When we moved in the pump on the system was a 1.5 HP whisperflo that always sounded like it was at the end of...

    Equipment Renovation/Revision in SE PA

Well I have been reading MyAzPool's thread on the IntelliCenter Review. I see what you mean on functionality...way different ballgame there. On other notes I didn't even know that the intellichem systems existed,. I know what I would really like to have but..hmm...that budget issue. I am...

Yeah, they could be part of a circulation system for heated water. Although I didn't see how a heater on that circuit would serve the spa only (I assume it would have been setup to do so) The heater system was removed some time ago by the prior owners, the heater unit wasn't even around...

Jim, Thanks so much for the input. Very much agree on the planning. As far as the spa I hadn't considered keeping it open longer than the pool and while it seems attractive I don't think its necessary. I don't see my tendency to 'close late' changing much in the future. I can isolate the...
