My polaris pool sweeper hoses keeps getting tangled up.

Lot's of possibilities here, but as asked what model would help, I'm guessing a 280 if so, then as stated the hose age for sure, back-up valve, wheel RPM and check the head float if it has a leak or is filled with water, it will slide off and you can shake it to hear if it's flooded. The hose...

    Wheel axle Polaris question

Did the brass inserts, that the 10-32 axle retaining screws thread into, pull or fall out? I would look at where the axle mounts, if those brass threaded inserts are missing, then you will need a new chassis (frame) or possibly the are stripped or unable to take proper lockdown torque...

    Cordless pool robot

Problem, many want it and many don't, that is the island, dock or something hanging off of their pool deck for the robot. There are three models, they start at around $3K+ with options and go up from there. It's not much bigger than a typical Robot, but weighs a lot more, around 46 pounds...

Doing complete rebuild of pool pad, should I buy a new boost pump, or get a robot?

If you want app enabled and all those bells and whistles it's a no brainer, go with a electric robot with some type of IoT capability. Pressure cleaners are still very popular, but having all that app enabled stuff right now is basically being able to remotely turn on/off your booster pump and...

    Cordless pool robot

The Watertech CX-1 Pool Blaster Robot has Li-Ion batteries, battery technology is there. There is also a cordless commerical cleaner from Italy called "NemH20", bascially is a Roomba for your pool, even has a charger dock, but it's ultra $$$. NEMH2O - the cordless pool cleaner robot |...

    Cordless pool robot

Maytronics made one years ago, which is basically the M5 Liberty, which now has improvements, the original one used Ni-MH batteries and the latest uses Li-Ion, it was expensive back then and is still expensive today, at least over $2K+ and I'm not sure it's available in the US Market anymore...

Best Way to Get Rid of Leaves?

Totally forgot a product we make, Jandy Leaf Master, thing is it connects to a garden hose not a booster pump, but it can be rigged I have seen it done before. https://www.jandy.com/en/products/accessories/leaf-master

So Zodiac (Polaris, Jandy, etc) is merging with Fluidra (Aquabot, Water Tech)

Just found this thread, I work for Zodiac. We did merge with Fluidra, it was mutual and at some point in 2019 Zodiac will be a brand, just like Polaris, Jandy and etc. we will be changing our name to Fluidra and our location here in California will be the US Headquarters. I would not expect to...

Best Way to Get Rid of Leaves?

If you use a pressure cleaner and let it run daily during the fall, you will have less leaves to pick up in bulk, you'd be surprised how well a Polaris 3900 does with leaves, you can pack plenty in the bag. The trick is not cleaning your pool once a week to keep up with it.

Aquabot classic turbo no longer moving across waterline

I know Aquaproducts does not have as many service centers as Polaris, but that my change at some point, we (Zodiac/Polaris) mutually merged with Fluidra a few months ago and Aquaproducts is owned by Fluidra. I think it will take some time, but hopefully service for Aquabots will at some point...

Aquabot classic turbo no longer moving across waterline

If you can get it checked at a repair center, it would be good to find out why it's doing that. Just curious how long does it stay at the waterline before reversing and is this consistent?

Aquabot classic turbo no longer moving across waterline

That angle is adjustable to 3 positions, it serves dual purpose, cord tangling and waterline scrubbing speed movement. You might want to experiment with the angle to see if it helps. The cleaner should just reverse at the waterline, not turn on the wall. Consult the manual here for more info...

    Vacuum recommendation

Steps, shelves and etc are a challenge for most if not all automatic cleaners, occasionally you will see cleaners get up on them but it's not something we design around or claim. For all types of cleaners, steps usually mean lower water lines, while a pressure cleaner will work above the water...

    Polaris question

Also suggest you buy OEM Polaris, we have a lot of problems with poor quality knock-off parts being used on cleaners, it just depends on how good the knock-offs are many are junk and wear out faster and can cause other issues since a lot of Testing goes into validating parts on our cleaners.

Aquabot classic turbo no longer moving across waterline

How is the float/handle adjusted to allow it to crawl along the water line? Is it on center or offset? Its adjustable for this reason. Also check the handle/float for leakage, if it's not staying vertical when in the water (below the waterline) you have a leak issue which will also cause...

    Pool Cleaner For Small Pool

You don't need a booster pump for a non-booster pressure cleaner like the Polaris 360 so you can go that route or you can look at the Polaris 7240, this is relatively new on the market. Lower cost and good for smaller pools and should be fine for pine needles...

    Robot with a longer cord

The Polaris 9650iQ or 9559 units both have 70' cables and are much more suitable for larger pools. The only cleaners that come with longer cables are commercial units as already mentioned. Getting all your pool surfaces clean 100% with a robot will be a challenge, shelves and steps are often a...

    Polaris 9350

Just confirmed, robot firmware is not updated, just the app receives updates. The new iAqualink Infinity system has OTA firmware updates, so I would expect future releases will likely go this direction since products are becoming more connected.

    Dolphin M500 vs Polaris 9550

Swivels really help, but on lower price point cleaners they tend to be omitted.

    Polaris 9350

I'll check and report back on the updates. I expect iAqualink to grow in feature set, I'll pass along any requests to the proper people for review.

    robotic warranty experience and thoughts

Glad to hear, if you have security cameras on your pool and can access them remotely as well, you can literally control your cleaner with the remote on the phone app from anywere in the world by watching it move via the camera feed, that is if you were away you can see what it's doing and steer...

    Dolphin M500 vs Polaris 9550

The cord swivel helps but often doesn't solve it 100%, water temp. is a big factor and time of the year.

    Polaris 9350

Any updates to the iAqualink app should be automatic or you should get a notification on your phone. I'll have to ask if the actual robot get's firmware updates, I do not know for sure on this question?

    Polaris 280 Installation

The 280 does require a Booster Pump, not sure which one you got with your bundle, but the PB4SQ is the latest and is multi-stage which is more energy efficient. You stated your pool is "Plumbed" for the Polaris, so that means all the required plumbing is there for a pressure side install. At...

    Polaris 9350

Yes, I do work for Zodiac/Polaris. Any updates are OTA (Over-The-Air) via your WiFI Router to the control box on the caddy. iAqualink updates likely, since we are always improving it. Let me know if you have any issues.

    Dolphin M500 vs Polaris 9550

Polaris takes advantage of the aft thrust jet, even if it high centers on a drain or other object, the thrust jet will eventually push it off as well the big wheel diameter and width helps.

    Handheld high-pressure jet cleaner

Range of booster pump pressure is dependent on a lot of factors in plumbing, length and etc, but typical pressure is around 28 to 35 PSI, that is the range that most pressure cleaners require to operate. If you have good garden hose pressure and have a short hose length, in theory you can...
