I'm annoyed. I think I can solve this, but want a generalized OK first. :)

Right. Intex 8600gal 24xblah blah. Its in the signature. Bear with me as I'm annoyed and ranting. ;) Spring is here, and of course the oaks are dropping their pollen things everywhere. Those tiny brats are detaching from the stems, and entering the sand filter. All well so far. Today I...

    Help.. Hurricane Michael Cloudy pool

Yes. The runoff contains plenty of organic materials. Do an OCLT. Thats the only way to know for sure. As for myself, I'd run it up to SLAM level first because I'd rather stay ahead of any possible issues than fall behind and try to catch up. If it passes, no harm no foul and you can let...

    Help.. Hurricane Michael Cloudy pool

TL;DR: Ignore the salt/SWG for now. Get any organics out with the net. Use more bleach up to your SLAM level as recommended in PoolMath, let the pump/filter do its job. Vacuum tomorrow. Use SLAM levels for non SWG pools, as your SWG is "offline" and out of the equation at this moment. I'm...

    Question about off brand bleach

When you buy off brand bleach, make sure it has the percentage listed somewhere on the label....either on the front, or in the "active ingredients" on the back. 6% is the standard now a days. As mentioned above, avoid bleach that lists "cloramax", "polymers", or "hydroxide" on the label along...

    Vacuum Head

Agree with that suggestion. I've got a different "off brand" head, but it is similar. Same price too at Pinch A Penny. I'd avoid the ones at WallyWorld...unless you have a need to scrub while you vac. The brush/vac heads tended to trap more stuff in the bristles than got sucked up the hose.

    Chlorine/bleach in Toronto (GTA)...

I'm not in *.ca, but I read the date codes for the freshest jugs and get mine from the Dollar General down the road. ~2.50USD. Just about any market should have adequate bleach.
