    PH different when pump on vs. Off

    I tested my ph this morning before pump was on after sitting for the night and it read 7.0. Tested after got home from work and it read 7.7. Anyone know why it would read differently and which reading is correct?

    Algae in pump basket

    I see pale green algae in my filter pump basket on the sides (not much) but i dont see it anywhere else in the pool. Levels are below. Should i SLAM it or just let it be? FC did get down to 3.5 for a few hours today but added some 73% cal hypo this morning to get it back up. FC- 8 Ph- 7.5...

    When to shock and new to BBB

    I have a UV/ozone system inline. Does that decrease the chlorine demand at all or do I still need to keep the 6-8 range?

    Hello all. Im new to the BBB method so I just switched to 10% liquid chlorine earlier this week. Just fired the pool guy a month ago and been battling CYA using tri chlor tabs. Im in north texas and i know its supposed to be between 30 and 50 but mine is at 60. My question is 2 fold...
