Switched from IFCS Original MagnaFlow to A&A Gamma Series 2 and seeing lower pressure at the Valve

So I did some more testing of the new heads. If I set the variable pool pump to 3450 RPM, I can indeed achieve 18 psi at the Valve and get the Heads in the SPA working correctly. Another option is to plug a single of the 6 Heads in the SPA. Then I can get it to operate correctly with 2900 RPM...

Are Pentair Pool lights ever going to come down in price again?

It does, but seems more like a supply issue.

Are Pentair Pool lights ever going to come down in price again?

I bought Pentair 640121 IntelliBrite 5G Color Underwater LED Spa Light, 120 Volt, 50 Foot Cord 4 years ago for $350 and now they are like $750. Any chance they will come down again or is this just the new price?

Switched from IFCS Original MagnaFlow to A&A Gamma Series 2 and seeing lower pressure at the Valve

Thank you. I’ll keep the thread updated when I get a chance to test some more

Switched from IFCS Original MagnaFlow to A&A Gamma Series 2 and seeing lower pressure at the Valve

One thing I haven’t really experimented with is increasing the speed of my Pool Pump. It was capped at 2900rpm, but can go up to 3450. I thought it was capped at 2900 for a reason to not put too much strain on my equipment, but not positive that’s the case. I installed a vacuum and pressure...

Switched from IFCS Original MagnaFlow to A&A Gamma Series 2 and seeing lower pressure at the Valve

I still have the old heads, so I’ll probably try and put them back in the SPA to see what happens. I will be a couple of days before I can troubleshoot. The Gamma 2s for some reason have a lot of water escaping when not fully extended. Not through the intended hole, but everywhere else. Yes...

Switched from IFCS Original MagnaFlow to A&A Gamma Series 2 and seeing lower pressure at the Valve

Now you mention it, I do remember that. Can’t help but wonder if the original design was different. It seems backwards now the way they did it. It would actually make more sense if they had hooked it up in the order it’s placed. So first the IFCS so you can run that completely isolated from...

Switched from IFCS Original MagnaFlow to A&A Gamma Series 2 and seeing lower pressure at the Valve

P Probably need to rethink the original design completely to solve my problem. Even without supplying any of the water features and bypassing the Heater I have a Bypass Valve, 10x90s and 1x45 Between the filter and the Manifold. I'm loosing 10 PSI+ in the process.

Switched from IFCS Original MagnaFlow to A&A Gamma Series 2 and seeing lower pressure at the Valve

Had my pool resurfaced and in the process decided to switch all my pop-ups from the Original MagnaFlow to A&A Gamma Series 2 pop-ups. Afterwards I'm seeing much lower max pressure at the Valve. So before running my Pump at 2900 RPM I would typically see around 20PSI at the Filter newly...

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

Excellent!! Never knew such a thing existed. That will be very helpful!

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

That may be the reason. I live in PHX, so I know everything about hot pool water :) I only inject once daily and I do it during the cleaning cycle, so lots of flow.

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

What flow indicator do you use? I’ll add my 2 cents. I replace my duckbill and the pump tubing every year and clean out the injection point and the “weighted”suction in the tank at the same time. My T is vertical and I use the 0.51 GPH tube in my EconT and can normally go a year without issues...

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

I had a slow check valve fail, so all that happened was that my solution got diluted and it took me a while to figure out why I wasn’t getting enough chlorine in my pool. Now I change it every year as a precaution together with the pump tube.

Pool Heavy Low VOC PVC Grey Solvent?

My Valve assembly has begun leaking so I need to the top part. The website where I bought it recommends using industry standard Pool Heavy Gray glue on the quickstop part (This is also the connection that is currently leaking)...

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

If you need a 15 gallon, there is a "Barrel Pusher" in PHX who sells them cheap. Only used once for syrup.

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

JK, Looks nice. A couple of comments: 1. I would probably have gone with a 15 gallon for the Chlorine. 2. Make sure your Chlor and Acid vent don't terminate the same place (Chlorine gas when mixed. Not the healthiest) 3. If you ever have the Stenner pumps run without the Pump running, it looks...

    Stenner Econ T?

There is no access panel per se. In order to get to the battery you have to open up the main housing. It’s held by 2 screws. You can do it without unscrewing the pump from the Nema box, but I find it easier just to unscrew the pump and deal with it in the comfort of my home.

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

Yep. That’s a nice simple solution. Gives purpose to the bucket of rocks I’ve already collected from the yard that I didn’t know what to do with ?

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

Time will tell. I might need to tie it down just to make sure. It was pretty windy the other day and the shade was completely unaffected, but of course if the wind hits just right you never know. I was concerned that the wind coming over the front wall would create some lift on the shade, but...

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

Finally got around to making one. The tall wall to the neighbor creates a lot of shade, so I elected to keep it easily accessible. I still have hinges so I can lift it up, but the majority of maintenance I can accomplish without.

Black Algea Killer and Chlorine Consumption

Yes, it’s Leslie’s Black Algea Killer. I had something from before I started using liquid Chlorine and noticed some of the Black Algea had returned, so I gave it a treatment and my Chlorine level went way down.
