My life saver has been the Pool Math app. It's been much easier for me to use compared to the one on my computer. You just plug in your results and the app will tell you exactly how much and what to add. It's amazing to me that all you need is some 10% bleach!

So I went to Walmart last night and they didn’t have CYA so I bought a box of trichlor bags (shock) hoping it would raise my FC and my CYA. Well it sure raised my FC but my CYA is still non existent.

The Pool Math on here gives me different amounts than the app. I can do 6 bags of trichlor for $15 at Walmart and that will pump my amounts way up but it shouldn't take my CYA over the limit. I'll keep thinking about it. I have about a 2 hour window between when I get off work and when I have...

Okay that makes more sense! According my fancy Pool Math app I need 3 jugs of chlorine and 8lbs of stabilizer. Is there an easier way to add it then the sock method? Can I add it to the skimmers? Going to vacuum and add DE to the filter tonight!

I went ahead and put 4 gallons of 10% chlorine in while it was filling. It’s almost done. I’ll be posting my 1st test results when I get home from work tomorrow (or 1st thing in the morning)!

Update: We are thinking it might be a pressure issue. After putting the filter back together and then trying again we had more pressure and it started working. We are now refilling. Probably will need to vacuum the deep end a couple times to get all of the residual out but we are in a far better...

So we hit a snag. Got everything clean and now the main drain is not working. Either we have our valves wrong or something has blocked it up. Hopefully we can figure it out and resume refilling. EDIT: Valves are turned correct but it’s not drawing water into the pump.

I think a paint job is something we may do in the off season. I would love to do it but time is not on my side with work and the start of summer.
