    Jandy RGBW Nicheless Replacement

Same story here with failure of both my lights only a couple years old. Was talking to a chap that says there's now a new light out that can be installed without having to pull all the wire, just connects at the light itself. Supposedly more reliable too. Anyone heard anything about these?

That sounds promising. Can you tell me what type or maybe a name for the "new style"? Appreciate the feedback.

    JXI260 keeps burning igniter

Hello, I've got a Jandy JXI 260 that keeps burning igniters. They last maybe a week. I checked resistance of the latest new one and it was per spec, 16ohms. They are all breaking at the same place, about halfway down, on the 9th coil. I handle the element only by the outside edge of the ceramic...

    Jandy Watercolor LED Failure

I have two large versions of the above lights. Neither one is showing proper colors anymore and one of them is dim and shows no colors on certain color settings. Sounds like the drivers. There are dozens and dozens of posts from all years of these things failing anywhere from 1-5 years. Mine are...

    Thanks Richard, that makes sense.

CYA with Taylor 2005 test kit

I'm curious to know about this also. I haven't heard it anywhere else before here. Is there something documented somewhere on how far from the eye it should be? And I have to assume that if someone with better eyesight than I does the test, they get different results? My guess is yes, but...

Jandy Gas Heater- burning but not heating

Sorry James, didn't get notified of your comment. I'm not sure of the speed. I'm pretty sure I have a variable speed pump, but not quite sure how to check or adjust the speed. I'll have to do my homework on that, both to find out what the current speed is and how and more importantly why/when to...

Apologies to all who responded here. I thought "watching" the thread would notify me of responses. Thanks all for the comments and suggestions.

    Salt Availability

I really don't know if I'm doing the right thing by asking this question, given the current covid-19 stupidity that is going on, but I will anyway. And please, don't go out and panic buy every last grain of salt you can find; I'm just asking a question. I usually just get 40lb bags of Morton at...

Jandy Gas Heater- burning but not heating

3 cheers for @ajw22 , you called it Allen. It's been running 6 hours now and I can feel the temp difference in the inlet/outlet. Pool temp is coming up and the return to the pool is warmer than the pool water. Hopefully this scare will motivate me to take better care of my gear going forward...

Jandy Gas Heater- burning but not heating

That's what I figured would be the answer. I was hoping someone may have been able to point me to something specific. Thanks.

Inlet to heater is the top pipe.

Jandy Gas Heater- burning but not heating

Sig fixed, thanks for that tip! I base my comment on the outlet pipe not being any warmer than the inlet after an hour or so, which it has been previously when running. Also, historically the pool temp did come up a little after running for a couple hours, which it now does not. I could try to...

Jandy Gas Heater- burning but not heating

Hi, I apologise for the length of this post but I wanted to give as much detail as possible to solicit help. Up front I will say I was not on the ball and did not do much to prep my saltwater pool at the end of last season. I do run the pump on a much reduced schedule during the winter, so I...
