Where is the date code? Mostly they where too big or the one that was really close, wrong thread. Pipe thread is usually tapered \_/ so it get tighter as the connection is made. however, what I found to actually fit was not pipe threaded so the tapering didn' allow it to thread on.

Very nice! My approach would be to go directly to a 90 then to a T then to the valves. That way I think it would "hug" the wall a little more and have less of a chance being damaged by the kids. I am wondering....If I screw up the operation, Can the threaded strainer connector be replaced...

The only things that I would be hesitant about are: 1) the metal Hose clamps. they can creat nice gouges in peopl and possibly the pool itself 2) is there enough of a nipple on the pool for the pipe to mount.

I tried a variety of different pipes and threads. I found a 1" Union collar in cunjuction with 1.5" pipe almost worked, but could only get 2 threads to bite and there was such a gap that it didn;t pan out. Also found that the hoses almost fit onto a 1.25" compression coupling :x On a more...

Brand new (to me) 18'X48" Intex pool, (3 weeks up now) Saw request for Intex forum. I would say that that would be a great idea. I have so many questions.
