Hey all, I gave it a shot. Pool ownership is not my thing. I’d to remove my pool. Any suggestion if this is best performed after the winter or is it ok to do it now? Any tips and advice would be much appreciated.

Unfortunate work precludes me from doing it more frequently. I’ll get a head start when I get home tonight. If I don’t use Clorox, can I use other Liquid bleach Without the other polymers? I’m not near a store that carries shock?

I opened up my pool a week ago. At that time, the water was clear. We added 1 whole bottle of shock and let the pump run. It's been running daily. I was not home for a week and noticed that the timer on my pump malfunctioned... Looking at the sides of the pool, there appears to be green algae...

I want to drain the water that has collected in the ladder/steps. I already opened 4 caps and some water has drained. I've tilted the ladder in all possible directions but can't seem to get the rest out. Any ideas? Thanks!

I wish I did... I called around and a pool shop can come out in a few days to patch the vinyl and close my pool. At this rate of water loss, I guess that would be fine if the plan is to drain it 6" below the skimmer. My worry is that the water is still leaking and may disturb what lies beneath...

I patched the pool --- water loss has significantly slowed, but there definitely still a leak. The water is now 1/2" below skimmer. The water is a tad less than 60F. It's too cold for me to go in my swim trunks and T-shirt... Are there professionals that can go with water temps like that?
